According to the legend, Perignanus would have built a Gallo-Roman villa on the site of the village at the end of Antiquity, hence the first name of the locality Perinhan. In the 18th century, the Baron of Perignan, promoted to Duke of Fleury, established the land of Perignan as a duchy. The village then took the name of Fleury, but the inhabitants are still called the Perinhans. Fleury is a fortified village of the Middle Ages as the traces of ramparts, and the many porches reveal... To see: the magnificent stained glass windows of the Saint-Martin church, the Balayard watchtower, the 11th century Penitents chapel. Its main attraction is its seaside resort: Saint-Pierre-la-Mer.
