A strategic place in the north of the Vallée de l'Aire, the Grandpré Gap is one of the four passages that cross the Argonne forest. It is therefore not surprising that Louis de Joyeuse, Count of Grandpré, had his castle built there at the end of the 15th century. It was his great-grandson, Claude de Joyeuse, who completed the construction. Since April 1921, the castle is classified as a historical monument. His visit will take you to discover its remarkable architecture and a part of the history of Grandpré and the surrounding villages.
