Strongly marked by the Great War, the village of Somme-Tourbe was almost entirely destroyed during the conflicts. Only its church and school were spared. The Romanesque church, Saint-Martin, dates from the 12th century, and houses some remarkable furnishings: an arch of Glory dating from the 12th century, a Virgin and Child from the 14th century and wooden statues from the 17th century in the effigy of St. Martin and St. Eloi.
