This magnificent village, on the banks of the Indrois, can be discovered through a charming tourist walk. It shelters the vestiges of the double enclosure of the old medieval fortress and its Renaissance castle of the 16th century. In the 19th century, the castle was transformed into a Second Empire style, under the influence of its owner, the Polish Count of Branicki. It houses one of the most important collections of Polish art in France, as well as a rich library. In the village, you can admire the houses with white tuffeau walls or half-timbered, without forgetting the semi-troglodytic dwellings.
