12 km north of Buzançais by the D 11.This village has a small place in French literary history. Jean Giraudoux, whose father was here percepteur, lived in Pellevoisin part of his childhood. In the cemetery you can find the tomb of Georges Paradise writer who had family ties in this village where he spent his child vacation. That of Estelle Faguette is nearby, a very religious heroine miraculously cured of tuberculosis following the appearances of the Virgin in 1876. Religiosity permeates this village with a sanctuary on the location of the room of Estelle and a monastery built in 1893. The Grand Hotel Notre-Dame was founded in 1940 and served as a state prison for Vincent Auriol, Paul Raynaud, Georges Mandel, Marx Dormoy and Marcel Bloch-Dassault.
