The Alcazaba was built by Abd al-Rahman III in 955, transformed and enlarged by Al-Mansur and then by Hayran, the first independent Emir of Almeria. It has three enclosures, two of Muslim design and a third of Christian origin. It was abandoned in the 19th century and restored in 1950. The visit of the first enclosure allows you to cross a whole area of very pleasant gardens with fragrant plants. In total, the tour includes 19 points that will introduce you to the Casa del Alcalde, built at the beginning of the 20th century by Prieto Moreno as a romantic tribute to the Alhambra, as well as Muslim casas reconstructed to evoke their domestic aspect and permanent exhibition sites. Both are located in the second enclosure and next to it you will find something to refresh yourself. Allow two hours for this visit. It can be completed by an ascent to the hillside of San Cristobal, the best viewpoint in the city.

The place de la Alameda de Hércules is an undeniable promenade in Seville. Alameda means «walk». Hercules, for his part, would be according to legend the founder of the city. We owe this place to the Count of Barajas who, in 1574, planted deciduous trees and built beautiful fountains on ancient marshy lands. He had erected two columns from the Roman temple of rue Mármoles, which were crowned with sculptures by Julius Caesar and Hercules. The other two columns, with lions bearing a shield, were formed in the second half of the eighteenth century. Today, the Alameda is one of the liveliest neighborhoods in Seville thanks to its bars and cafés that encircle the square. Its bohemian atmosphere makes it unique.

It is the center of the historic quarter, a sumptuous Renaissance square that is a bit shaded by the rest of the city as it concentrates architectural wonders. Most of the buildings in the xvie th base surrounding this square are the work of Andres de Vandelvira, the architect of Jae 'n's caesales and Baeza and many other churches in both cities. Ayuntamiento (city hall) is located in the palace of Las Cadenas owned by Philippe II. In the square is the Sacra Capilla del Salvador built by Vandelvira. A recent cultural initiative of the town hall of Málaga (whose building is baroque, in passing, by Guerrero Strachan), the project is new to Spain in the sense that it combines the management of a private enterprise with the ideals and ambitions of the public framework. Based on the German model of the Kunsthaus, characterised by its dynamism, this centre of contemporary art is a large white space that takes place in a former market of wholesalers at the mouth of the Río Río. Temporary and permanent exhibitions dress this place to discover, having bookstore and coffee.

Surrounding the entire city, they were intended to protect it from both land and sea attacks. They were partially destroyed at the beginning of the century. The famous Puertas de Tierra are still visible: these towers were built between 1639 and the mid-18th century. Vauban, who created the defensive system of Cádiz, reinforced it with several forts and bastions, some of which can still be seen (the castles of San Sebastián and Santa Catalina, the latter of which can be visited). Even today, parks and gardens enhance the stroll along the seafront with the Parque del Genovés or the Alameda Apodaca.

During the visit of the archaeological site, the curious can walk in a neighbourhood of the city erected under Hadrian, and continue its journey in the city centre of Santiponce where the theatre and the minor thermal baths stand. 

With its historic combination of styles (Gothic, Renaissance...) it is, without doubt, one of the sacred most important monuments of the city. 

Located in the Palais Palace of La, this is the country's most important private collection. On two floors, it comprises more than 5 000 pieces dealing with arts and sciences.

This th century palace has been transferred to the Albacín since the placeta de las Descalzas (in the city centre), welcomes the municipal archives.
