Practical information : Going out Andalusia
Timetable
Flamenco shows start at 7pm and go on until 10pm, lasting around 1h30. For discos, it will be later, as the Spanish saying goes: " no hay ningun ambiante antes de las 2 ", no ambience before 2am. Most people go out on Fridays and Saturdays.
Budget & Tips
Shows often have special student rates. Discotheques do not. To get new ideas for going out in Seville, it is advisable to buy the free cultural periodicals, follow the posters and pick up the flyers in the trendy shops.
Night transport
In Seville and Granada, a few buses operate from midnight to 2am. Otherwise, there are always cabs.
Age restrictions
The discotheques are accessible to the same ages as in France and there is no need to book!
Smokers
It is simply forbidden to smoke in every bar and club in the country. And clearly stated.
Tourist traps
One good thing about this destination is that you won't be much in demand to attend a show or go out clubbing. On the other hand, regular reading of local newspapers will help you identify cultural events. Tourist offices also have monthly paper agendas. Don't forget to pick them up when you visit.
