The only navigable river in Spain, from where Magellan left to undertake his world tour in 1519
It is the only navigable river in Spain. Called the Rio Betis by the Romans, it has played an important role in the history of Seville. It was from here that Magellan set off on his circumnavigation of the globe in 1519, as recalled by an armillary sphere, an ancient astronomical instrument, installed on the San Telmo bridge. And throughout the year 2022, a replica of Magellan's ship, the Nao Victoria 500, could be visited. Without going around the world, this is also where the boats that take you to Sanlúcar de Barrameda leave from.

On est isolé des voitures et profite du calme avec les autre promeneurs ou joggeurs en tout genre.
Des bancs permettent ça et là de se reposer tout en voyant l'entrainement des rameurs très nombreux le weekend.
