Read moreInside the Door County Library is a small local museum with permanent exhibits of Wisconsin artists and temporary exhibitions of local artists. Paintings and photographs can be admired. One collection highlights the work of Gerhard Miller, arguably the most influential artist in the Door County area, who passed away in 2003. The museum paid tribute to him by borrowing his name. The Miller Art Museum is not an obligatory stopover during a stay in the region, but it allows you to immerse yourself in the local culture.

Read moreThis lighthouse was erected in 1868 and automated in 1926. During the summer months, you can take part in guided tours to get inside: two visits per hour are organised in summer. The lighthouse is located at the northern tip of Peninsula State Park, of which it is a part. From up there, you can enjoy a beautiful view of Lake Michigan. A small museum dedicated to the history of the lighthouse was inaugurated in the building that housed the keeper's residence. Since 1978, the lighthouse has been registered as a National Historic Site.
