HERBERT AND KATHERINE JACOBS HOUSE
Modest usonian style residence classified as a world heritage site by Unesco, one of the 8 works of the architect Frank Lloyd Wright.
Sometimes called Jacobs I, this house was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1935. It is one of the architect's eight works to be listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2019. Located in a residential area, this modest residence was built after Madisonian journalist Herbert Jacobs challenged the architect to build him a house for $5,000 at the time. The Usonian-style house is not open to the public, but its beautiful wooden exterior can be admired.
