Particularly picturesque thanks to its picture-postcard setting at the foot of the castle, the Aubenas market is frequently cited as one of the most beautiful in France. Every Saturday morning, stalls fill the streets of the old town. The scent of Provence and the Cévennes, with local produce all lined up. In summer, there's a night market every Wednesday from 6 p.m. in the historic center. In addition, numerous fairs punctuate the year, often with medieval origins: Foire aux colains, Foire de la Saint-Antoine, Foire aux chevaux...

In summer, it is one of the biggest markets in the Ardèche. But this market takes place all year round, every Monday, and is transformed into a real little fair in the summer season, with the street open to pedestrians. It is an opportunity to stock up on seasonal produce, farm products and cured meats. The producers come from all over the region to treat us. It is also a moment of conviviality where we take the time to exchange, even to take a coffee in terrace... A farmers' market is set up on the Place de Verdun from May to September, on Thursdays from 5pm to 7pm

This secular market dates back to 1309. Its history is linked to the buildings built to shelter it. The area of the halles became too narrow to contain the merchants and stalls, overflow to invest the nearby squares. It runs all year round on Monday morning and hosts up to 150 exhibitors in the summer. There are regional products, fresh products, clothes, fabrics, and objects of all kinds…

L’ESTACADE

Market

In Grenoble language, the Estacade is the railway bridge that spans the Cours Jean Jaurès. This is where the city's largest market is held, along the Avenue de Vizille. It is therefore at the Estacade market that you can find the best products. The choice is vast, especially at weekends, and you should go to the very end of the market, after the crossing of rue Nicolas Chorier, to meet the small producers with impeccable products. In rainy, snowy or windy weather, you will appreciate being sheltered from the railway line, which passes just above. And then there are the little bistros around. Open from Tuesday to Sunday, the market par excellence in Grenoble.

MARCHÉ ALBERT THOMAS

Openair market

The Place Albert Thomas market is highly appreciated by the people of Stephan in search of good products bought directly from the producers. Many restaurateurs also come here early on Saturday mornings to help themselves. A real reference in terms of quality! You will find fruits, vegetables, cheese and yoghurts, bread... The old varieties are in the spotlight on the square! If the Saturday morning market attracts the largest number of exhibitors and customers, the Friday market is also very interesting because of its specificity as an organic market exclusively. As for the Tuesday and Thursday markets, they allow you to stock up on provisions during the week! We are in favour!

Every Saturday morning, one of the largest weekly markets in the Puy-de-Dôme is held. It is animated by a hundred traders and producers. On the stalls, you can find fresh, quality products, in short circuit (fruits, vegetables, fish, delicatessen, honeys...), but also clothes and trinkets of all kinds. Its picturesque character and its notoriety are reinforced by the presence of small producers on the central square. This commercial effervescence reminds us of the origin of Riom's name, which comes from Ricomagus, "rich market"!

Annonay is particularly lively on market days, which bring together local producers and consumers from the region and elsewhere, locals and tourists alike. The Saturday market is the most important one, where you can stock up on seasonal fruits and vegetables, cold cuts and cheeses, some of which are organic, and even local crafts. You can enjoy filling your basket with good products and the friendly atmosphere of these country markets. Another smaller market is held on Wednesday mornings.

Others have a weekly market, Novels have its almost daily markets: every day except on Mondays! Food market on Tuesday morning on the Pierre-Didier course; Wednesday and Saturday on Hector-Berlioz Square; Thursday morning in front of the Méannes shopping centre; but the most important and most popular is Friday morning. On that day, the market is deployed in different parts of the city throughout the day. As for the Sunday morning market, it is one of the finest and largest food markets in the region. Stands are located in the bottom of the city. Note also a vide that takes place on the second Sunday of the month Quai Ulysses Chevalier, and finally an annual rendez-vous not missed in autumn: the Fair of the Dauphiné.

Open - Close to 13h00

The largest food market in Lyon, along the banks of the Saône, where it is a pleasure to come on Sunday morning. The clientele is happily mixed, from all social classes. It must be said that the setting lends itself to it and that you can find everything with about fifty traders on weekdays and 121 traders on weekends: vegetables, fish, artisanal fruit juices, butchers, delicatessens (especially from the Ardèche), cheeses, flowers... Good idea: plan to withdraw cash the day before or in another place, because the district's distributors are overrun!
