This market is undoubtedly one of the institutions of the territory "Around Lyon". Every Saturday in the city centre, this is the second traditional market in the South-East with 2.6 km of shelves, 300 stalls and nearly 20,000 visitors. The black diamond is sold on the market every Sunday morning from 10am to 12pm from December to March so that all truffle lovers can buy a small quantity and enjoy it at least once a year. It is in a simple canvas bag that the truffle growers hide their precious and marvellous tubers, the price of which is fixed according to the national rate, before meeting in the local bistro to share the traditional pastis.

This secular market dates back to 1309. Its history is linked to the buildings built to shelter it. The area of the halles became too narrow to contain the merchants and stalls, overflow to invest the nearby squares. In Grenoble language, the Estacade is the railway bridge that spans the Cours Jean Jaurès. This is where the city's largest market is held, along the Avenue de Vizille. Every Saturday morning, small local producers are on the market in the heart of the medieval city in the Saint-Pierre district and Notre-Dame Square. Every Saturday morning, one of the largest weekly markets in the Puy-de-Dôme is held. It is animated by a hundred traders and producers. A gourmet stop held in association by some twenty producers who have been taking turns selling their products for over 20 years. Seasonal vegetables, bread, fruits, cheeses, sausages, honeys, nuts and by-products, but also poultry and, of course, wines from the region.

This is the Roannais' meeting place, especially on Sunday mornings. You will discover a multitude of local products under this covered market which has existed for more than three decades, salty or sweet version, both on the sea and land sides. The first fruits are there, the great chocolate maker Pralus too, the fishmongers, including Mr. Chavrier (best worker in France), seafood stands, cheese makers, such as Mr. Mons (other MOF), butchers, wines and spirits, a roaster... Your basket full, do not hesitate to stop by for a wine and/or oyster tasting or simply a good coffee. What happiness in perspective!

Since 1873, the Halle gourmande Saint-Pierre has been an institution, offering meats, fruit, vegetables, cheeses, Auvergne wines, ready-made meals and catering services... Large tables offer tastings of Auvergne, Spanish, Italian and Asian products, as well as ready-made meals from the market's merchants, including the Reines butcher's shop, Eo Viet'Street Foods, Klein d'Alsace, and Istrenn Tavarn oysters. Events and tastings are also organized from time to time.

Every Wednesday and every Saturday morning, the halls and the fairground cover many stalls. Local artisans and producers compete with imagination to excite your taste buds. On Wednesday, it is one of the few markets in France where live poultry can be bought. The Saturday market is the most important one, where you can stock up on seasonal fruits and vegetables, cold cuts and cheeses, some of which are organic, and even local crafts. You can enjoy filling your basket with good products and the friendly atmosphere of these country markets. Another smaller market is held on Wednesday mornings.

Others have a weekly market, Novels have its almost daily markets: every day except on Mondays! Food market on Tuesday morning on the Pierre-Didier course; Wednesday and Saturday on Hector-Berlioz Square; Thursday morning in front of the Méannes shopping centre; but the most important and most popular is Friday morning. On that day, the market is deployed in different parts of the city throughout the day. As for the Sunday morning market, it is one of the finest and largest food markets in the region. Stands are located in the bottom of the city. Note also a vide that takes place on the second Sunday of the month Quai Ulysses Chevalier, and finally an annual rendez-vous not missed in autumn: the Fair of the Dauphiné.

The largest food market in Lyon, along the banks of the Saône, where it is a pleasure to come on Sunday morning. The clientele is happily mixed, from all social classes. It must be said that the setting lends itself to it and that you can find everything with about fifty traders on weekdays and 121 traders on weekends: vegetables, fish, artisanal fruit juices, butchers, delicatessens (especially from the Ardèche), cheeses, flowers... Good idea: plan to withdraw cash the day before or in another place, because the district's distributors are overrun!
