Delicatessen Asian products
5/5
1 review

K-Mart is a grocery store offering a large choice of Korean and Japanese products. The shelves are well stocked, with a large fruit and vegetable area, fish and meat stalls where products delicately arranged in vacuum-packed trays are rigorously aligned. All the classics are of course there: noodles, rice, sauces of all kinds, as well as many varieties of miso, tofu, onigri and kimchi (a fermented and spicy Korean cabbage). Fans of Asian cuisine will be happy to find here more confidential products such as mentaiko, made of cod marinated eggs, shizo and sesame leaves, Korean mushrooms and green meat radish.

The old without additives, unique in Paris. This Italian glacier that works only with noble and natural products, for both sorbets and ice. Many perfumes (up to 36 in full season), some of which are exclusive (Danao, Ali Baba, caïpiroska, cheese cake, pop corn, lemon pie, Paris-brest, etc.) and permanent creations, presented in pot, corole on a cone like flower or in 1/2 litre and litre (9,50 € and 18 €). Each store has its production unit which allows for the freshness of the products and the ice preparation on the spot. The pink and purple shop makes a big acidulous candy think. The staff were friendly.

FAMILLE MARY

Honey and jam producer
5/5
1 review

It was in 1921 that Famille Mary was born. Jean Mary, a beekeeper by trade, set up his hives in the heart of the Moulin de Beau-Rivage, in the south of Brittany, and sold his honey on the markets. For a century now, the tradition has been passed on from generation to generation, and the family has grown. The brand has spread to Paris where it had six stores at the end of 2022, including this one in the Marais. Wide choice of honeys, of course, in jars or in tanks, organic royal jelly, flower pollen, propolis, sweets, gingerbread, organic cosmetics... In short, you will find here "treasures of the hive" thanks to which you will feel good.

MIELLERIE DU GÂTINAIS

Honey and jam producer
4.7/5
3 reviews

History: the Miellerie du Gâtinais opened in 2008, in the heart of the Gâtinais natural park, thanks to Camille and Thierry Sergent. Their production is varied: forest, chestnut, acacia, heather or lime tree honey, royal jelly, acacia-vanilla honey (a huge success!), sweets, gingerbread, pollen, propolis, cosmetics, candles... You can even buy your honey in bulk. It's cheaper and more ecological.

Camille and Thierry Sergent are passionate and militant, as always with beekeepers, they manage a herd of several hundred hives to produce quality honey and colonies of bees. They are also keen to introduce groups, from 3 years old to professionals, to the world of plants, insects and beekeeping, using a structured educational programme. In addition, they are developing a humanitarian action on the island of Socotra, in Yemen, in the West Bank, by working for the protection of the environment through the learning of rational beekeeping and by participating in reforestation actions in desertified areas.

Visit: the free visit to an insect breeding room will not fail to fascinate you. In the spotlight: ladybirds, cockchafer beetles, grasshoppers or locusts, and of course bees whose work you can admire through a transparent hive. You will also discover the backstage of honey and its circuit. You can even follow a beekeeper training course.

It is a tea room without equivalent, which deserves that one lingers there. The reactions are unanimous, and very positive, when you walk through the door for the first time. Marble, Art Deco chandeliers, spacious and wavy benches: the place has an undeniable charm. Kanoun is a nice oriental tea room (which also offers a restaurant). If we come there, it is for its pastries with an authentic taste, fine, to taste with delicious teas. We can only recommend a visit to Kanoun, 100%!

Takanori Murata, from a family of wagashi (traditional Japanese pastry) makers based in the Nagoya region, joined him in this adventure. Both of them wanted to offer a real artisanal product respecting the tradition of both Japanese wagashi and French pastry, and favoring as much as possible organic ingredients of French origin. Mission accomplished! Second address : 16 rue Grégoire de Tours (6e).

MACARONS ET CHOCOLATS PIERRE HERMÉ

Chocolatier
4.5/5
4 reviews

This shop open in July 2008 is exclusively devoted to macaroons and chocolates as its name suggests. It is a small candy box in dark and cool brown shades, decorated with colourful and bright tiles that recall packaging. The macaroons are designed in various flavours: vanilla, amber, pink, jasmine, cinnamon etc., and some innovations like macaroon with wasibi and grapefruit comfit or chocolate "pure origin". Chocolate is transformed in to sweets and chocolate bars. A ganache bitter chocolate and nougatine with cocoa beans coated with black chocolate fall among the Choc Chocolat specialties. The Bonbon chocolate macaroon (a praline macaroon, chocolate and paste of melting almond coated with black chocolate) is an innovation. You can also buy fruit jellies, jams, dry biscuits etc. It is at Drugstore Publicis, one of the most mythical places of Champs-Élysées that Pierre Hermé setup his last shop, Macaroons & Chocolates where he offers his collection of rare macaroons and chocolates. With the new Pierre Hermé e- shop, home deliveries of macaroons are available in less than 48 hours. Chocolate boxes between €20 and €60.

LE FROMAGE DE BRIE

Regional groceries
4.5/5
2 reviews

The most important region of the department, Brie gave its name to a cheese renowned worldwide or rather to several cheeses: Les - from Meaux AOC, De AOC, Montereau, Nangis, De. The birth of soft cheeses was established more than a thousand years ago. Since 774, Charlemagne, the first, would have talked about Brie de Brie in eloquent terms: " I just discovered one of the most delicious dishes. " Introduced to the Court by Philippe Auguste and Robert the Pious, he was consecrated for the first time under Louis XV whose wife, Marie Leczinska, advised him to perform the famous bites to the queen, created in her honour by her father Stanislas Leszczynski, Duke of Lorraine. The a took place during the Vienna Congress - 1814-1815 - organized by Metternich's Prince after Napoleon's fall. At a dinner where every Minister of Foreign affairs was invited to bring his country to the cheese of his choice, Talleyrand, the "devil lame", representing France of Louis XVIII, made himself bring about brie. Excited by his taste, Metternich le "Prince of Cheeses and First of Desserts". A transformed declaration, probably by chauvinism, in "King of cheeses, cheese of kings". So there is no brie, but bries, tastes - depending on the cow's feed - of different forms and colours depending on the localities and know-how.

Brie AOC's brie, with a diameter of 35 cm and weights 2,8 kg, has a flowered crust with a red stripe, red stripe or red-stained. Its paste is cream coloured, homogeneous, soft and not caprine.

The brie of Melun AOC does not exceed 28 cm for a weight of 1,5 kg. Its white and fine crust is dotted with red or brown tasks and its homogeneous paste, slightly lumpy, soft and soft, shows yellow yellow tones.

The brie of Montereau, only 18 cm in diameter diameter 2,5 cm thick, weighs between 400 and 500 g. Its taste lies between the brie of Melun and the Coulommiers and its crust is reddish.

The Brie of Nangis, with a diameter of 22 cm, with a thickness of 3 cm and a weight of 1 kg, has a slightly stronger taste than that of brie de Brie. Its crust is white, dotted with red and brown plating and its yellow gold paste.

The brie of Coulommiers or small brie has a straw yellow paste and a sweet almond flavor and white crust, red tachetée. He is the little brother of brie and as some claim, he would even be the ancestor. Smaller but thicker, it has almost all the characteristics. The tradition is to serve it in the morning with a beaujolais or gamay.

Chocolate, caramel butter, but also seasonal fruit are the bases of beautiful gourmet flavours: The strawberry pie adopts the pistachios in Sicily, the Éclair flash blends with nuts, the Lemon Pie or the Paris-Brest have a very innovative look.
