It cannot be said that the capital lacks coffee shops, for the sake of caféinomanes. One of the most popular addresses is the Starbucks and its many facilities. One of them is drawn into the 2nd arrondissement. Set on the beautiful terrace of the Établissement establishment or inside under the beautiful moulures of the places, you can enjoy your coffee in the "Opera district" mode. A beautiful frame, good coffee and a hair service, difficult to play fine mouths. If not due to price, a cold shower offered by the house…

Rich of a family history, sketched a little more than 60 years ago by Raymond Berthillon (deceased in 2014), the famous Maison Berthillon is an ice cream parlour and tea room on rue Saint-Louis-en-l'Ile. The work, now done by the new generation, gives birth to creations that are a marvel of flavors and balance. Note: the Berthillon house makes a point of using natural products (milk, fresh cream, eggs, fruits...). It remains one of the best places in Paris to appreciate artisanal know-how.

At Amorino, all materials are imported from Italy. The ice is made from whole milk, eggs, sugar and natural flavourings, fruit and even organic products. They are invariably served by spatula, pots or cornet of different sizes in flower form with, in choice, twenty fragrances, which vary depending on the seasons. Among the specialties of the house: La, a chocolate cream and hazelnuts or the Amaretto with a delicious almond biscuit. Amorino also thinks of winter months, when freezing is felt, you can indulge in hot chocolates or simply good chocolate sweets.

Some like him, others love him, and as if his title of Meilleur Ouvrier de France received in 2000 was not enough, some go as far as describing him as "Rodin of chocolate". It must be said that his sculptures are bold and absolutely wonderful, he even recreated a cobblestone of May 68 to mark the 40th anniversary. He dares new mixtures - sometimes 14 products assembled in one creation - that delight the palate. He combines textures and aesthetics. Patrick Roger is also a master of taste who works  in his chocosphere! He imagines everything in his workshop in Sceaux where he transforms chocolate into wonderful sweets or into giant pieces of 80 kilograms.

Welcome to the oldest food market in Paris! The atmosphere here is more family-friendly, bobo style. All the main food trades are represented, with the presence of a few organic producers and oyster farmers. Few fruits and vegetables, however, and prices are at the higher end of the range. People come to Les Enfants-Rouges as much to shop as to eat. The choice is varied, with stands offering Moroccan, Italian, Asian and Lebanese specialties... Some of which you can sample on the spot.

Here, there is no room for chemical candies but ancient method, authentic product. But here, we also travel through the French provinces, because what we offer you here is a fairly faithful panorama of the best French creations: Charrex chestnut cream, Bourges chestnuts, candied fruits from Saint-Rémy-de-Provence: nothing is missing! There is always something going on here, and the welcome is not an empty word, don't hesitate.

This is nothing more than a corner of Italy in Mantises. Furthermore, this caterer only offers refined Italian specialities. Antipasti, bruschettas, cooked dishes, lasagna, cannelloni, pizzas, San Daniel meats, coffee, pasta, Sicilian cakes… not forgetting the cheeses of parmigiano or gorgonzola or wines and liqueurs. Here the master of the house is of Tuscan origin. And in the Rustighi, we work with family and father in son. Over the past few years, it is also the gelati (the glaces) that make this address a success. There was no hesitation in learning the secrets of these delights by a great Italian glacier master. Really to discover to taste products from Italian territory.

Opened very early, the bakery already offers this advantage. However, bread is not always excellent, the stick, for example, is not the most successful. Efforts on presentation are a matter of course, but pastries, which appear to be prepared with the aim of favouring the quality of raw materials, still lack the generous or talented touch of good taste. Resuming family business is not always easy, it is a challenge here, and despite the natural unleavened that should fill the client, the price does not justify the general benefit.

Who knows the famous Andouillette Duval, the fleuron of the 5 A, the Friend of Amateurs authentic. She is a throne in many other specialties: breaded porc pork feet, laminated from andouillette mustard sauce, veined ham, peasant white andouillette… Duval was the last charcuterie of the commune, which nevertheless has no less than sixty thousand inhabitants. Now you will find the son three times a week in the Drancy market. So don't miss the delicious products, because here the spirit of the Duval family remains, with a selection of the best sausages and fatty livers, and the offer of a beautiful Alsatian charcuterie. Jean-Pierre Lopez has been established in the heart of the Montparnasse district since 1987, and provides a remarkable work of quality and constancy. Working in the middle of the night to select the best of the daily arrivals, he is on deck with his team from 6am to prepare the stalls of his fishmonger's. When it's high season, the Breton fish from Saint-Gilles-Croix-de Vie takes 36 hours to arrive on your table. A difficult job that he does with passion, even offering valuable services such as home delivery and a selection of take-away dishes (for hot dishes, it is imperative to order the day before). Maison Larnicol is first of all a Breton institution created in South Finistere by Georges Larnicol. His first bakery was opened in the 80s. He invented the Torchette®. This cake was so successful that it spread quickly across Brittany, then in the West before arriving in Paris. This Meilleur Ouvrier de France keeps inventing while maintaining tradition: kouign-Hamann, galettes with buckwheat, wheat and algae galettes or with buckwheat and chocolate, palets, cocouettes... Among the sweets, we love lollipops marshmallow or chocolate and fruit, meringues, the moumouttes, macaroons with fresh fruits without animal fat, not to mention chocolates which can be customized on request and become genuine creations. He also makes artistic chocolate pieces for all celebrations: weddings, baptisms, birthdays. The time range allows, even in the late evening, to go and get a little treat for oneself or to offer.

Created by a Roman ice cream maker, Veronika and Renato Squillante Montoro's ice creams and frozen desserts are made with fresh seasonal products, without additives, coloring agents, preservatives and artificial flavors. One of the stars of this gelateria artigiana is the pistachio ice cream from Iran. You should know that the sorbets here are officially certified vegan, and the ice creams are gluten-free. But the particularity of this noble sign - Renato is a marquis - is that it elaborates salted ice creams with surprising flavors, such as this ice cream with avocado and gorgonzola. Quite original, isn't it? Small selection of pastries... Italian of course (cannolo, maritozzo).

On the stalls, fruits and vegetables, cereals, juices, jams, beer, meat, hygiene and cleaning products... The house also proposes to the customers to deposit their compost, empty glass jars and other egg boxes. Amazing!

Classified as a historical monument, the shop was established in 1800 by Debauve and Gallais who before being chocolate makers, were pharmacists to Queen Marie Antoinette at Versailles. This chocolate factory is known for its excellent range of dark chocolate with low sugar content and no additives. You will find chocolate crisps baked in their pots with pure almond and pure hazelnut, ganache with beans of different origins, truffles with candied orange and specialties like Pistoles known as Santé with orange blossom and almond cream, prepared for Marie Antoinette. Historical! La Boîte 1800 is a gem for it offers an eclectic selection of chocolate candies, a superb muslin purse, a bag of weapons and a card embossed with fine gold which goes with each box. Nice name for this fruit and vegetable store that was in another time a house selling snails… It is Max Huguet who transforms it into the 1960 s of the halles. Today it is his son Serge who is the chief gardener. It is high quality self-service where prices remain within reasonable limits, no more expensive than in the corner of the corner with quality plus. And then we take a full look, the colors of fruits and vegetables are beautiful, we quickly feel that we are in a place of quality. The seasons are respected, so don't ask for cherries in November… only the rule at the time of Christmas holidays…
