THE GREAT ARK OF DEFENSE PUTEAUX
Read moreThe Grande Arche de la Frères, more known as the Grande Arche de la Défense, was built from 1983. It was inaugurated in 1989, at the double opportunity of the Revolution and the G 7 Summit. This cube balsa in its medium, 110,9 metres high, 112 metres long and 106,6 metres wide, is not really in the historical axis of Paris, with which it forms an angle at 6,33 °. From a practical point of view, Erik Reitzel, a Danish engineer engineer, had to install the foundations of the Ark structure in such a way that the motorway and the existing railway lines are respected, as well as the extension company on line 1 of the Paris metro. From a symbolic point of view, the Danish architect Johann Otto von Ordered created this angle of 6 ° 33 in order to highlight the volume of the Grande Arche and to restore the existing gap between the Square Court of the Louvre and the place de la Concorde. To access its terrace, which offers an extraordinary panoramic view of Paris and its surroundings, you can enjoy an impressive translucent elevator! It also includes the computer museum, which has more than two hundred coins in the past not so distant. The interest of the collection will, of course, increase as time goes by, but the younger ones will be surprised to discover the first computers or the beginnings of the Internet.

LA VALLEE-AUX-LOUPS - CHATEAUBRIAND HOUSE
Read moreFrançois-René de Chateaubriand bought this magnificent mansion, strangely named la Vallée-aux-Loups, in 1807. He was very attached to his "dear valley", his park, his vegetation, which he took great care of: " I was going, with hooves, planting my trees in the mud, seeing and reviewing all the small corners, hiding me wherever there was a thicket. " In the house, one crosses famous ghosts, from the beautiful Madame Récamier to the painters David, Girodet-Trioson, the famous rest bed of the Jacob-Desmalter immortalized by David's painting, or that of the scandalous madame de Staël before her forced exile in Switzerland… See absolutely: the charming Velléda tower, a small pavilion nestled in the park, which served as a work and library office in Chateaubriand. He écopa the nickname Velléda in memory of one of the martyrs'heroines, an epic novel that the writer wrote to the Vallée-aux-Loups.
The toddlers will be enchanted by the "fine stories of Sunday afternoon": At 16 a. m., a speaker tells a story or tale, in the park, the library or the video room. A mystery of a th century tale, daydreams by a young Chateaubriand, programming changes regularly (free activity).

DOMAIN OF THE CHÂTEAU DE LA CHASSE
Read moreOn a walk in the Domaine de la Chasse, we will put our steps in the medieval kings, the soldiers of the Hundred Years War, and then in Victor Hugo or Jean-Jacques Rousseau that this romantic place in nature inspired. Built probably in the xiith century, the castle was frequented by the kings of France, who found there a stop during their hunts in the forest of Montmorency. The taste for hunting stayed in the region, but from François I it is the much more luxurious Listener castle that the Court will stop. The fortified castle also lives in wars, a place of garrison during one Hundred Years, weapons deposited with the Revolution. Its charming silhouette that is reflected in the water has preserved its original structure: thick walls and four towers of angles. They, strangely truncated in the eighteenth century, give him this original charm. The monument is magnified by a natural site with enchanting ponds, secular trees and renowned wildlife. Listed in the inventory of Historic Monuments as early as 1933, the castle was acquired by the state in the 1970 s. For younger people, a passage in the field is instructive, as two pedagogical trails pass through it. A great idea for a Sunday trip.
CLAUDE MILL FRANÇOIS
Read moreThis is a place that we saw many times last March! And because of this, since the Moulin de Dannemois, Claude François's home, was the center of a special effervescence for the anniversary of the 40 years of the death of the famous singer. In fact, it is far from the effervescence of the Parisian capital that Claude François transformed this mill, where he settled in 1964, in a real haven of peace, which he appeared to highlight during various episodes of his professional career. Twenty years after the artist died, the site, then abandoned, was taken over by Mr. and Mrs. Lescure, a couple of bakers from Dordogne. A guided tour has been organized since then. It allows us to discover in what context the singer was living: its room, bathroom, swimming pool (in the form of a palette of painter, in which a very sophisticated sounds diffuser was installed for the time), its sauna, its wine cellar… This mill has become a true pilgrimage place for Cloclo's unconditionally unconditionally, and finish their visit to the tombstone of the idol in the cemetery of the same village. Among the «relics» they can admire are the scene costume Alexandria Alexandra, a natural silk-style city shirt model left bank of Yves Saint Laurent, boots created for Claude by the spark Mr. Anello, worn in 1973… Note that the place is a restaurant, with obviously many special evenings organized, and a tea room. In project also, the opening of a hotel in the place, which should have 11 rooms.
MINISTRY OF ECONOMY AND FINANCE
Read moreThe construction of this gigantic ministry was one of President François Mitterrand's major projects. Inaugurated in 1988, it consists of five buildings. The Colbert, Vauban and Necker buildings were designed by Paul Chemetov and Borja Huidobro, while the Sully and Turgot buildings are by Louis Arretche and Roman Karasinsky. Several hundred metres long, Colbert is the most extensive and ends on the banks of the Seine with two pillars spanning the quay, where ministers can take a river shuttle that takes them to the west of Paris. This building now houses several ministries. Located near the Bercy train station, it is often nicknamed as such.
