This museum pays tribute to the life of Jean Gabin through numerous archives and the testimonies of great names in cinema
Inaugurated in 1992 at the initiative of his family and the municipality, it is the only museum dedicated to Jean Gabin whose family settled in Meriel in 1900. Jean Gabin spent his childhood and adolescence here. Here, he developed a passion for fishing on the banks of the Oise. The museum pays tribute to his life as an actor through numerous archives and the testimonies of great names in cinema. The Society of Friends of the Jean Gabin Museum manages the organization of temporary exhibitions and film screenings, as well as the Short Film Festival, Au Pays de Gabin.
