The Opéra Comique, a national theater that always puts on great opera in Paris.
The term "opéra comique" originated from the troupes of acrobats who, in the 18th century, mixed opera and farce, notably during the Saint-Germain fair. The original two halls burned down before the current one could be built. Designed by Louis Bernier, it opened in 1898. Today, the Opéra Comique is a national theater that continues to stage major opera productions. Discreet little square, lost in a district frequented by tourists, the Boieldieu place is a surprising discovery. The façade of the Opéra Comique is superb and the quiet little square allows you to admire it in peace.
