THE OLIVE GROVES OF THE BAILLAURY
Read moreOlivier Borrat, born from a family of winemakers and fishermen, chose olive culture. He works in particular on argondeil and courbeil, an ancestral local variety that disappeared after the freezing of 1956. The operation is visiting. In the old wine cellar of Mas Reig, Olivier welcomes you in the oil bar to taste its olive oil and spread. You can buy on-site oil of the year, as well as green or black olive pasta, a product that is bread, half-sweet, it's delicious. Just next to the oil bar, discover its oil mill, the only Banyuls. In 2011, during the first participation in a olive oil competition, this oil obtained the gold gold gold medal "Authentic" and in 2014 the oil bar of Mas Reig was awarded the regional Olive oil competition in the "Coup de Coeur" category for a lot of olivières. Great rewards for Olivier who continues his project with great passion.
THE NAPOLEON III AND EUGENIE WALK
Read moreWalk in the steps of Napoleon III and Eugénie de Montijo and follow the history of the imperial couple who stayed in the spa resort from August to October 1859. The Empress made a 23-day cure considerably improving his health. When she did not take the waters or did not engage in any kind of activity, she was leaving for a built-in walk. You have to imagine the beautiful lady and his cortege, swallowed in corsets compressing the chest, boots of boots and bearing multiple jupons… Today, you're leaving the light foot! The promenade begins at the town hall, at the Maison Gradet-Poque, which housed the Council of Ministers of Napoleon, continues towards the Napoleon Bridge, which decided its construction during its stay, and leads you to the thermal district where a visit of the thermal springs to the imposing columns of marble and glass is required. The trail passes through the chapel of Solférino, built under Napoleon III, who had his initials and those of his wife graving above the door. The chapel owes its name to the battle, which lived the French victory over the Austrians in June 1859. A beautiful walk all in history and landscapes!

THE MEGALITHS OF THE CAUSSES
Read moreComing from the Atlantic coast, the practice of erecting megaliths reached the south of France around 3,600 BC. The territory of Lozere, and the Causses region, was then covered with menhirs and dolmens, funerary constructions buried under mounds. The Cham-des-Bondons (north-east of Florac) has a number of menhirs which has nothing to envy to the site of Carnac. Under the aegis of the Cévennes National Park, several discovery circuits have been established.
