A signposted trail to discover the rock, a site located in Lacaune, which stands out for the richness of its nature.
Accessible from the hamlet of Vidals, the peak of Montalet is the highest point of the department, with an altitude of 1 259 m. Don't leave without having climbed it: the panorama at the top is magnificent. On its heights, you will discover the statue of the Virgin who has been watching over Lacaune and its valley since 1882. It is said that she would have spared the spa town from the wrath of the Devil when the latter, furious at having been robbed by a rogue from Lacaune, decided to take his revenge. A marked path allows you to climb this rock while discovering the richness of its remarkable nature.
