Path leading to the top of the Saint-Baudille peak, an imposing rocky promontory that dominates the Séranne massif
The southern trail leads to the summit of Pic Saint-Baudille, an imposing cliff offering panoramic views over the Hérault plain. Going back 150 million years, we discover an ancient lagoon ideal for swimming. In this warm, shallow sea, large deposits of limestone are formed by marine organisms such as corals. Over time, the sea retreated, leaving the limestone massifs to form the bulk of the massif's rocks.

Les gardiens sont très désagréables, au téléphone comme en présence. Une marcheuse, arrivée à midi, a dû attendre quelques gouttes de pluie vers 16h40 pour enfin être hébergée. L’accueil par la gardienne est glacial. Les locaux sont déshumanisés.
Il est impossible d’acheter du fromage malgré les affirmations faites par téléphone par le gardien de l’inutilité de réserver, le fromage étant toujours disponible.
Quel dommage, dans ce site si grandiose et si magnifique !
