The hotel club L'Ancora has privatized the small beach of the locality, but opens it to the public with its restaurant. The menu offers dishes that are not very original, but which have the merit of being made with fresh products. It is essentially oriented towards what tourists are looking for in summer: grilled fish, Mediterranean flavours, light pasta and pizza for the wallet. It would hardly be worth a visit except that its panoramic view of the whole Golfo dell'Asinara leaves you breathless.

There is a large terrace at the front, but it is not enough to accommodate all the customers. At lunch: crabs, lobsters, crayfish, lobsters, sole, mullet, tuna... arrive on your table still quivering. The fish pasta, particularly the swordfish, is succulent. We also love the fried squid and prawns. The atmosphere is very informal, and the fish is good for a very reasonable price. What more could you ask for?

A few wooden tables a little too close together and pizzette al tegamino (small pizzas in their mould) baked in an electric oven, this is what you will find at Meucci, located one street away from Castello Sforzesco. The pizzettes are deliciously thin and crunchy, despite appearances, as evidenced by the fact that the address has been open to the public since the 1960s. And although the legendary owners have handed over to new managers, the flavours are still there. Kids will love it, grown-ups will love it!

A traditional regional trattoria, where local specialities are served, with all the decor that goes with it: checkered tablecloths, wooden chairs, retro frames hanging on the walls. This is the restaurant that the locals recommended to us. And for good reason, the prices are more than reasonable, a rare thing in La Maddalena. The food is quite good, and the whole thing is quite correct. Like many restaurants in the area, it has made a specialty of fish and seafood. The classic menu is as long as the arm and there is a large choice of pasta, pizzas, fried fish and shellfish, and grilled lobster... of course. The restaurant is located on the edge of the marina.

Halfway between Paris's Le Grand Colbert and New York's Balthazar, Baccano at first seems very chaotic, with its ballet of waiters and non-stop service, yet you'll always find a quiet table where you'll be well served. Oysters and foie gras are reminiscent of France, burgers and sandwiches of the USA, while excellent pasta dishes and charcuterie evoke the dolce vita of Rome. A fine selection of wines.

Gino Sorbillo (the greatest Neapolitan pizzaiolo ) has finally arrived in Milan with his famous thick-crust pizzas, according to the best Neapolitan tradition. A few steps from the Duomo, the address is more like a canteen than a real restaurant, but the pizzas are sensational. It seems that the menu plays the multiplication card: 7 antipasti, 7 wood-fired pizzas, 7 special pizzas , 7 beers, 7 wines and 7 digestives! For the unconditional fans of the tomato-mozza disk. Attention: no reservation is possible and the wait is often long.

A small sign in a pedestrian street, a few tables often occupied by Romans who know the address, this canteen offers small dishes and quality snacks. Beautiful salads, mixed boards, raced carpaccios and some dishes of the day to slate, often delicious lasagna. In premium, a varied wine list.

From the outside, this restaurant is a bit of a feast factory, with its legion of terrace tables. The advantage is that prices are low for the quantity of food served. This small group of friends, young fishermen entrepreneurs, have opened a friendly bistro in the most picturesque corner of the Genoese Riviera. They serve only the products of their catch, sometimes lobster. Their boat is always "parked" on the pebble beach of Boccadasse. The place is small, but we're happy to wait with a fruity white wine and a variety of calamari and seafood. Our favorite is the fish pasta. Reasonable portions.

A whole range of raw fish and seafood, in tartar or carpaccio, or cooked in fried and panini, accompanied by grilled vegetables and enhanced with a touch of organic olive oil are prepared before your eyes. La Pescaria also offers its vegan menu, which is very popular here in southern Italy! But beware, this new place is also a victim of its own success and will certainly ask you to be patient on weekends!

Original formula for this pizzeria in the heart of the old Imperia on a pretty shady square: on the choice of pizzas, you don't have a say because the pizzaiolo is a master in the matter! If the topping is not to your taste, wait for the next batch! Rest assured, the ingredients are all exquisite and of the highest quality while the pizza dough is tasty and well risen. No reservation is possible, but the service is rather fast. An Italian address as we like them, authentic, simple and cheap!

In the heart of Milan's Chinatown, a bright and airy address, where green plants and large wooden tables make up the decor. Somewhere between hipster and New York style, the local clientele gather here with friends for breakfast, lunch oraperitivo, over a cup of matcha tea or a red fruit infusion to accompany a few hours of coworking. In 1897, founder Pepi S'Ciavo gave his name to this trattoria. Renamed Da Pepi, the historic buffet has renovated its premises while retaining the spirit of the rustic dining room, with wooden tables and stools, the counter with cold meats and prepared dishes, plus terrace service. Its Mandra is no exception to the rule and offers a rich local cuisine: home-made hams, ravioli with ricotta cheese and herbs, roast suckling pig. A corner of paradise, far from the tourist chaos, although located in the heart of the city. Brac is first of all a bookshop dedicated to contemporary arts, but also a table. Its imaginative chef is specialized in vegetarian and vegan cuisine. Relaxed atmosphere and good music. Sunday brunch is delicious (coffee, cappuccino, fresh fruit juice, pancakes, scrambled eggs...). Brac, born in 2009, seduces with its "library with kitchen" formula, and has established itself as a reference for all lovers of cuisine and contemporary art.

In the plate, products of the ground guaranteed 100 % local and natural since the agritourism made the choice of the organic culture for its fruits and vegetables, its vines and its olive-trees. The dishes, concocted in the respect of Irish tradition, are simple and tasty, the plates are nicely presented. You can choose generous antipasti or pasta with vegetables, accompanied by a good wine of the house. The farmhouse also offers four rooms and a swimming pool, with the possibility of half board.

Two-star chef Antonino Cannavacciuolo, star of the kitchen, has opened a three-level café and bistro in the heart of Novara, on the site of a former theater. Interesting upscale culinary proposals, combining Neapolitan-inspired recipes (Cannavacciuolo hails from Vico Equense, near Sorrento) and northern flavors. Wine tasting is also available.

The restaurant is run by a cooperative of fishermen from Marina Grande. It's a casual place to eat, with small tables covered with checkered tablecloths, facing the port and in a relaxed atmosphere. On the menu, the fresh fish of the day cooked simply: fried anchovies, grilled fish and seafood pasta, which you can accompany with a glass of fresh falanghina. A warm family welcome. O'Puledrone also organizes sea trips with the fishermen followed by the tasting of the fruits of the catch in the restaurant.

This sign with its rural decoration is dedicated to the white gold of Campania: the mozzarella di bufala. We were a little afraid of the resto-concept; in the end, it is rather a good surprise. The mozzarella comes from an azienda in the region of Caserta and the arrivals are daily. It is available in various recipes, from the starter to the dessert, from the classic caprese salad to the bocconcini plate of mozzarella, green apple and pesto, or to the tartar of tuna, mozzarella and lemon from Sorrento. For dessert, excellent cheesecake with ricotta di bufala.

Holy Gianni! Extra fresh seafood, cooked with simplicity, to which are added specialities from the Apulia region, such as the famous orecchiette. This family restaurant, which has been in operation for over forty years, offers a homemade guarantee in a simple, relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The location is central but quiet, just next to the port of Portoferraio. It is better to book, especially in the evening in season.

Beautiful vaulted room in blue tones to exalt the only protagonist on the menu of this restaurant: the baccalà (cod). Neapolitans are crazy about it but often ignore all its secrets, which is why Baccalaria has made it its mission to make people discover the thousand facets of this product. So dare to try the delicious cod brandade or parmigiana with aubergines, and let Vincenzo, the chef, tell you the story behind each combination of flavours. The only drawback: the portions are rather light and the addition sometimes salty.

A little piece of paradise is worth it! From the port church, you follow a picturesque path of about 2 kilometres in the heart of the former prison colony, which leads to the agritourism. In absolute peace, 4 hectares of plots bounded by stone walls, partly intended for permaculture. The owners, Rossana and Massimo, are extremely kind and welcome you as friends. The meal with a view can begin: flavours between land and sea, healthy and fresh products. You will come out satisfied, with the desire to come back!

There are places that keep their souls intact over time. This is the case of La Bussola, a piece of Portoferraio's history, a meeting point for the Elboe generations and tourists. Its terrace, on the beach of Les Ghiaie, was the dance floor for summer evenings. Today, the restaurant has been renewed and Chef Filippo offers an affordable menu, a clever blend of tradition (all'Elbana octopus, cacciucco, fish carpaccio) and more unusual dishes (spaghetti with tuna belly or three fish eggs).
