The restaurant of the same name spreads out its beautiful terrace on the unmistakable Place Walther. The waiters are elegant, friendly and discreet. You are welcome to linger on the terrace to enjoy the lively square. We are here in the front row! The menu is surprisingly inexpensive, the kitchens have fairly flexible schedules and even if you come here a lot for a drink, the plates are of good quality. Like this unforgettable Ligurian rabbit, deliciously prepared with its small vegetables and homemade sauce.

Without doubt the best restaurant in the village, in the heart of the little streets of Canazei. An address that takes as much care of its plates as its glasses. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed, whether you're sitting at one of the large tables, or at the counter chatting with the cheeky waiters. It's hard to choose, but the sliced beef with mushrooms and vegetables, washed down with a pinot gris, was divine, as was the pork shank with polenta flavored with fresh mushrooms. The desserts are just as tempting and hearty, so save room!

A rather rare address in Cortina, and above all a practical and inexpensive stop for a snack in the heart of the resort. In this unpretentious and well-located shop, pizzas are prepared to take away, even if, in summer and winter, a few small outdoor and indoor tables also allow you to sit on the terrace to enjoy your share on the spot. Nothing to say about the quality. The pizzas have a thin and crunchy dough, the toppings are generous, with a choice of tomatoes, mozzarella, mushrooms, salami, peppers and ricotta, among others.

Contrary to what its name suggests, this restaurant is not located at the Pordoi Pass, but in the heart of the village of Arabba. This mountain inn and restaurant with geraniums on the balconies and wainscoting everywhere is renowned for its excellent regional cuisine at reasonable prices. There are specialities with nettle, speck from the Alto Adige and other specialities in sauce that keep body and soul together with the cold. There are also excellent pizzas.

Restaurant Da Ledo was the first tourist establishment in Lacona, opened by Bolano Ledo in the 1940s. Since 1992, it has been brilliantly managed by the Barresi family. The rooms are spacious, with blue ceramic tiles to match the bedspreads and the horizon. The hotel's restaurant is very well known. The tables are set in the shade of a pine forest. The cuisine served is Aeolian: calamari with Malvasia wine, a tender octopus salad, spaghetti with eggplant and almost fried tuna.

Isolated in the south of the island 25 minutes from the port of Vulcano, it is the ideal place for all those who wish to escape the groups that crowd on the northern beaches. On the heights of the city, in the district of San Giovanni, a historic establishment founded in 1865 by Giovanni Suban, an Austrian national. Four generations later, the semi-gastronomic table is still there and strives to perpetuate the culinary tradition of Trieste, characterized by its mixture of cultural and culinary influences: fine cold meats, peasant soup, fresh pasta from Istria, gnocchi, goulash, Dalmatian pastizzada, strudel and other graphic cakes. This gourmet restaurant is probably the most refined in Udine. It is housed in a 19th century house built on the foundations of 13th century walls. Managed by the Sabinot family since 1987, it has made fish specialties its hobbyhorse, but local products and traditional recipes are not forgotten. The well-balanced plates with precise dressings delight the eyes, as does the elegance of the place, both contemporary and warm. A large selection of regional, Italian and foreign wines.

Literally "on the sand", just a few steps from the sea, on the Baia del Silenzio beach, this little seafood restaurant serves only the freshest fish. You can eat with your feet in the sand! The menu changes according to the day's catch, provided by Angelo, who ply the local waters on his boat. The informal, relaxed atmosphere is undeniably romantic. Don't forget to book! If you can't dine here, the happy hour aperitif buffet is copious and tasty. The wine is local, from the family vineyard in Vernazza.

This is the real Italian pizzeria, with wood-fired cooking of course! The ultra-thin dough pizza is served on a huge wooden tray, so you can share it with your guests and have it topped with two different toppings - a real treat! The freshness of the ingredients and the friendly atmosphere make this address, 15 km from the center of Imperia, a regular haunt for good foodies. A very pleasant plus: the outdoor terrace in fine weather.

On 13 February 1503, a dispute took place between Italian and French soldiers, the famous "Barletta's challenge". The theatre of this dispute was a tavern run by Baccio da Rieti, a mysterious character who, according to legend, offered a poisoned digestive to get rid of the awkward customers! In a quiet street just a few steps away from Lungotevere, family cuisine has been active and appreciated since the 1960 s. The simple but careful map displays 100% Roman dishes such as the rigatoni alla gricia (pâtes pâtes pâtes pâtes with bacon and cheese), the guts or the calf to the artichokes, to finish with the chocolate fluffy cake or cream cream any homemade made.

Just across from the cathedral, in an arty setting with a pretty decor, a new restaurant that focuses on traditional Ligurian fish-based cuisine, but above all on its vegetarian/vegan menu, where oriental sauces are a welcome addition. Although the choice of dishes, made with local, seasonal produce, is limited, the vegetable/vegetable combinations are tasty, and the desserts gourmet, like this walnut cake. The gourmet restaurant at the Hotel Villa della Pergola offers refined regional cuisine in which young chef Giovanni Servetto is able to add contemporary touches. Sometimes you can get tired of waiting times and portions that are sometimes only "suggested" on the plate, but the result is artistic. Test for gourmets who would try a variant with pasta al pesto and aux plateaus. 

It is the only restaurant in the region to have a panoramic terrace on the sea. Sardinian and Italian cuisine with sea specialties, but also pizzas.

This small, unpretentious restaurant is located in the lively Piazza Tola on summer evenings. It offers Mediterranean and Sardinian cuisine, above all, which is distinguished by traditions that are still very much alive. Regulars refer to it as "grandmother's cuisine". The dishes are offered in portions or half portions, ideal for satisfying all appetites without spoiling anything. The setting also seems to have remained unchanged for two generations. In the neighborhood of Navigli, a new table of quality which counts only 28 seats (from where its name) installed in a trendy setting where the furniture of recovery has the good share (for the anecdote, the "recovery" of the rooms was entrusted at a Milanese prison cooperative). Side cuisine, honor with Mediterranean flavours with required and creative suggestions of meats, fish, vegetables and products organic local.

In Viticcio Bay, just a few metres from the sea, this family restaurant is a famous island meeting place for a romantic dinner at sunset. From the terrace with sea view you can admire neighbouring Corsica and the island of Capraia, with one of the many dishes typical of the Elboise kitchen.

A good address, a cran above the trattoria to simple. Attentive service, a nice setting, but a little retro and a family atmosphere for a menu that does not betray the great Roman classics. Enlarge the pasta at the amatriciana, cacio and pepe or go gricia, as well as the secondi including the guts and timbale of artichokes. For a good meal.

La dolce vita à l'allemande! A concept that is little known in Italy. This is the challenge taken up by two German women, Claudia and Sabine, who dare to revisit Italian gastronomy in their own way (with typical products from across the Rhine). This small, unusual restaurant in the historic centre is full of treasures. The evening menu changes every day. However, we recommend the surprising Wurstel con crauti e patate. The floor sets the tone with its black and white patterns. Here and there, you can see pretty fabric hearts hanging up... A unique place with kitschycharm .

In the 1950s, Angiolina, the founder of the restaurant, cooked for the many workers on the nearby railway. Over the years, the cuisine has become more sea-focused. Today it is famous for its fish dishes and for its preparations of menaica anchovies (the name given to an ancient fishing technique that is still practiced only here), typical of Marina di Pisciotta. We dine on the terrace facing the sea, in the shade of a large ficus, rocked by the surf.

Young, cool management for a type of address that was sorely lacking in the city, as in the rest of the region. This burger joint serves carefully-crafted burgers and fries: the meat comes from top-quality Piedmontese beef, and the fries are real potatoes. You can choose from a dozen mouth-watering burgers, which you can order and pick up on your tray for the terrace. There are also a few salads, a fish burger and a vegetarian burger.

An agriturismo in the heart of the village of Termeno, with a terrace in the inner courtyard of the farmhouse and a rustic dining room featuring old wine barrels. Traditional dishes of excellent quality (knödel, goulash, assorted cured meats and cheeses), accompanied by our own-produced wine. Warm welcome in German. Take a trip back in time to over 120 years of winegrowing with a visit to their cellar, and why not try a tasting?

Delicious little bistro in a side street off via del Babuino where an air of early twentieth century French train station café linger. So don't expect an authentic Italian trattoria . Active from breakfast, the black coffee sipped at the counter is so good that it only suggests good things to come. Indeed, the lunch and dinner menu that changes every week is very pleasant, with salads, tartars, tasty pasta, club sandwiches and burgers. The little plus? The homemade bread is crisp and silky.

The fish shop that sells its fresh wonders during the day has opened a small restaurant with a row of tables as a terrace under the roof of the Mercato delle Erbe. Here, only small dishes are served for a few euros each. On the menu: raw specialties (tartars, carpacci), fried (squid, prawns) and cooked. We loved the prawns with Greek Kataifi dough, this crispy envelope of fried filaments, a real delight.
