After several months of work caused by the floods of July 2021, Neumünster Abbey has welcomed a brand new restaurant: the Abtei brasserie, opened in September 2022. The contemporary setting is tastefully decorated (we love the velvet banquettes and seats, and the open bar). The menu features tapas, Luxembourg cuisine favourites (bouchée à la Reine, cordon bleu...) and seasonal dishes. A lunch menu (which changes every week and is very competitively priced) completes the offer.

From the moment it opened in March 2020, in the midst of a health crisis, Ryodo has succeeded in winning over Luxembourgers and establishing itself as one of the capital's top addresses! In a bright, minimalist setting, you can enjoy Japanese cuisine (don't miss the wagyu) combined with European elements (such as truffles). The flavors are as fine as they are explosive, and the result is far from what we're used to. Recognition: in 2022, Ryodo Kajiwara was voted Chef of the Year by Gault & Millau, and the restaurant was awarded its first Michelin star.

Nonbe ("bon vivant" in Japanese) is one of Belval's most exclusive addresses, and one of the best: it was voted Asian of the Year 2022 by Gault & Millau! In a modern, elegant setting, Japanese chef Norihiro Imamura offers tasty, authentic cuisine. In the brasserie, Japanese tapas, gyozas and sushi are served facing the open kitchen. On the restaurant side (in the beautiful wooden mezzanine), the menu (which varies with the seasons) is more elaborate and refined. Opt for a sake to accompany your meal!

De Gaart ("the garden" in Lëtzebuergesch), the restaurant of the INNSiDE hotel, focuses on regional and seasonal products. The menu changes from month to month, with several vegetarian options. And when it comes to beverages, the emphasis is on local produce, including a local Riesling. The spacious dining room is decorated with hanging plants and street art, and features a long bar where cocktails are made (try the Sunset Teatime, you'll tell us all about it!). A lovely terrace lets you soak up the sun and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

In a sober, elegant setting with a pleasant terrace, the Peppermint restaurant offers Vietnamese and Malaysian specialties, with a wide choice of vegetarian dishes. Udon noodles, nems, phô, gyozas, lemongrass chicken, ginger duck... The menu offers a tasty journey to lands you probably don't know enough about... and that you'll want to discover! The Brasserie Beaulieu is one of those places that every self-respecting Luxembourger should not miss! Managed by Cyril Schneider, this address in the Bonnevoie district is very appreciated for its warm and relaxed atmosphere, as well as for its gourmet menu (completed by daily suggestions at low prices). One comes there with family, friends or colleagues, to have a drink or to taste typical dishes of the Grand Duchy. Its terrace, very pleasant, is appreciated and animated as soon as the weather allows it.

In the heart of the Limpertsberg, Kicheneck offers a no-frills journey through Lebanon. Don't stop at the simple appearance of the place and push the door: you won't be disappointed. Hummus, kofta, chakchouka, shawarma... The menu is composed of specialties, made with passion and mastered to perfection. Its slogan "Good & Honest Food" sums up the restaurant perfectly! The establishment does not offer alcohol, but is adept at the BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle) concept: you can bring your own bottle of wine.

On the Place de Paris, a succession of restaurants and terraces... Among them, Casa España, a tapas and wine bar. Nestled between Bascharage and Dippach, in a rural environment, this charming restaurant responds to a spirit of "terroir and traditions". Initially run by Katell Guillou, the establishment is now in the hands of his daughter. The menu offers classic dishes based on regional products (terrine, vol-au-vent, ravioli, puff pastry...). After leaving the table, there is a delicatessen corner where you can continue your gourmet pleasures at home (juice, jam, bread...). Just like the setting, the service is impeccable and warm.

When you think of Amarcord, you think of Fellini... Yet the setting and ambience of this address are far from reminiscent of Rimini, and the decor is thoroughly modern. The cuisine is simple but uses fresh, seasonal, quality produce. The wine list is also well worth a look. Service is also impeccable. Located in the Centre Culturel Régional Opderschmelz, Amarcord is at the heart of Dudelange's cultural life. Concerts, exhibitions, cinema... everything you need to have a good time.

Onesto, it's an atmosphere, with these small intimate rooms and this listed fresco dating from 1806 and painted by the monk Abraham of the Abbey of Orval (Belgium). In the kitchen, the Italian sun warms the hearts and one is allowed to hesitate between homemade pasta, excellent traditional pizzas made over a wood fire and some famous products such as mozarella di buffala, tomatoes from Sicily and other beautiful references imported directly from Italy. The restaurant has a veranda and a terrace, on which you can hurry on sunny days.

The L'Iris restaurant offers French, Luxembourgish and Portuguese cuisine. The menu features traditional and gourmet dishes, such as grilled giant prawns in a slightly spicy garlic sauce, or pan-seared duck breast with port and balsamic vinegar sauce. The menu is complemented by a daily lunch menu, which changes weekly, and the chef's suggestions, also renewed weekly. A great place to eat in warm, modern surroundings (the terrace is also pleasant).

The setting of the Clervaux golf course is particularly attractive! Aptly named "The View", its brasserie-bar offers a magnificent panorama of its grounds. Its terrace allows you to enjoy an excellent meal or a simple refreshment in an exceptional setting, only a few kilometers from the city and the abbey. The menu consists of grilled meats, burgers, pasta and fresh salads with a wide selection of drinks (beers on tap, wines, whiskies...). The establishment is part of the Excellence Hotels group, which owns 5 restaurants in Clervaux.

In the heart of the leisure area of Remerschen, in a bucolic environment, the restaurant Le Chalet is a nice place with a breathtaking view on the lake. The brasserie-style cuisine draws its inspiration from the four corners of Europe. You can enjoy fondues bourguignonnes, flammeküeche, pasta, pizza and fine cuts of meat. The Go Ten is just like Luxembourg: a rather disconcerting place imbued with "zenitude", with its plant wall as wall decoration... and at the same time very dynamic, with a background of electro music. For lunch, the menu is unique and is only served from 12pm to 2pm. In the evening, enjoy a drink with friends and dine on nikkei cuisine, a blend of Japanese and Peruvian flavours. From here, you can enjoy a magnificent view of the Lower Town. Its success is undoubtedly due to its dishes cooked in the finest North Chinese tradition. The décor, refined without being pompous, is a blend of tradition and modernity. The chef offers two menus and an à la carte menu featuring over fifty specialties.

Not far from Neumünster Abbey, the Bosso is the ideal place to enjoy the region's best specialties in a relaxed, family atmosphere. Each dish is prepared using fresh ingredients of the day. In summer, enjoy the beautiful terrace surrounded by ancient walls. As for the Bosso Bar, it's an ultra-popular spot for listening to good music (blues, rock, salsa, reggae) with friends over an after-work drink.

The first Café de los Catalanes was opened in Buenos Aires in 1799 and immediately became a privileged place to meet people and discuss how to remake the world. The Cafetin de Buenos Aires is inspired by the typical cafés of the great Argentine capital and offers a typical Argentine cuisine with a fine selection of meat. In the friendly Clausen district, this saloon-style restaurant has been serving American cuisine for 30 years (no less!). The menu features burgers, chicken and giant spare ribs, not forgetting the famous brownies to round off the meal, which can be enjoyed at the bar or perched on high stools. The house specialty is Bob's Combo, a plate with ribs, chicken wings and steak. For Sunday brunch (served until 3 p.m.), try the unmissable bacon and eggs and muffins.

Located on the first floor of the hotel Le Bon Repos, the restaurant Le Grill welcomes you in a modern and pleasant design, with an open kitchen. It offers a traditional cuisine made of grilled meats and quality products, but also pizzas and Portuguese specialties such as a trilogy of salted cod. The Pavillon Desom, owned by the cellars of the same name, is located on the sunny banks of the Luxembourg Moselle, at the northern exit of Remich. Here, all the wines and crémants produced in the region and signed Domaine de Vinsmoselle can be compared and tasted in a culinary art of the most gourmet. The restaurant An der Tourelle is a stopover for good food that will give you, in addition to the pleasures of the table, the pleasure of remarkable views of the Moselle. The cuisine is both Luxembourgish and French, with a seasonal menu.

Villa Hadir, built in 1897 at the height of Differdange's steel industry, takes its name from the "Société des Haut-Fourneaux et Aciéries de Differdange - St Ingbert - Rumelange" (HADIR), which bought the blast furnaces after the First World War. Since 2006, it has been a popular brasserie in Differdange. The establishment offers an affordable daily menu, as well as a varied menu of classic cuisine. This historic villa harmoniously combines an industrial past with a contemporary gastronomic experience.

Basta Cosi is a warm and friendly place, housed in an attractive ^18th-century building renovated as a Tuscan villa. We love the patio with its panoramic roof, the terrace and the cosy atmosphere of the dining room. But also its many different kinds of pasta, risottos and pizzas served in generous portions and at quite reasonable prices. The wine list is also quite sophisticated. Renowned in the city center, the restaurant has a second address and a takeaway counter at 18 avenue Pasteur (Limpertsberg district).

One of the few, if not the only, café in this residential area... The Bel Air café offers good home made burgers, hearty salads as well as a fine selection of wines, beers, rums and whiskies. The particularity of the establishment: a warm atmosphere and a smiling welcome. As for the decoration, grey is the order of the day, and the bistro chairs and the small slates framed on the walls make the authenticity of the place. The owner Pierre and his team will do everything to make you feel "at home". Reservation is highly recommended.

This small vegetarian restaurant, close to Chemin de la Corniche, has been attracting diners with its tempting menu and quality service since... 1990! You'll discover a variety of creative and tasty dishes, highlighting the richness of vegetables, cereals and aromatic herbs. The beautiful Place Sainte-Cunégonde is located a stone's throw from the banks of the Clausen. Les Jardins d'Anaïs, a chic restaurant and boutique hotel, is located in a long house with beautiful ivy-covered facades. In addition to the tastefully decorated interior, one can only be won over by the outdoor garden where tables are set up in fine weather. The menu is signed by the Champagne chef Jérémmy Parjouet. To complete the excellent gastronomic cuisine, a beautiful wine list brings together the greatest vintages of the world.

Behind the word "buvette" lies a multitude of treasures. Let's start with a delicious brunch every Sunday that will also satisfy vegan palates, in a safe, family atmosphere. The evening before, in the same place, you'll have swayed to the sound of an energetic rock concert or an electro session to turn the rotunda upside down! Located in the heart of the city, this pizzeria is undoubtedly one of the most popular addresses in the region, and is often fully booked, despite the number of tables and its terrace in summer. The dough is fine and baked to perfection, decorated with fresh, quality products. Four-cheese, vegetarian, calzone, funghi... you'll find all the usual offerings, as well as more daring choices (chef's surprise, salmon and cream...).

In 2022, Sébastien Sarra, owner of Brasserie Guillaume, opened Casa Gabriele (named in honor of his father), the temple of homemade ravioli. Stuffed with spinach or meat (but also salmon, truffles... depending on the season and the chef's whims!), they are served with one of three sauces. Simple and effective! The ravioles are also available to take away, as is the selection of delicatessen products. Brasserie L'Avenue is a traditional gourmet bistro, ideal for a quiet lunch or for business. The setting is contemporary, elegant and bright, worthy of what you see on Pinterest. We love Indie's for its city bistro feel. Its relaxed terrace is located on a central artery of the city, opposite the Roosevelt Quai 1 bus stop.
