Brasserie De Brabandere is a Belgian family brewery located in Bavikhove in the province of West Flanders. Its main beers are Bavik, Petrus and Wittekerke.

This address is sure to attract the attention of beer lovers. 900 different beers are on offer, with the emphasis on craft brews. It's the ideal place to make a few gifts, or to treat yourself. The place also welcomes groups of up to 40 people for birthday parties, beer and cheese tastings... In fact, a cheese bar has officially opened above the brewery. It's also possible to visit the small brewing facility on site. The hardest part will be choosing.

They were already brewing at the Saint-Gérard de Brogne abbey in the 10th century, but the tradition was lost during the French Revolution, reports Bruno Deghorain, who has reinstalled a micro-brewery there. In addition to the production of the brewery La Binchoise that he manages, he brews a blonde Brogneand a Spéciale Noël, both organic. The abbey has a hotel-restaurant, reception rooms and a vineyard. The Barley wine is a triple, organic like the rest of the range. In limited quantities (3,000 copies), it is only available on site and in a few shops.

On the borders of Laeken, across from the Byrrh building, this microbrewery born in the Marolles in 2015 had to move to accommodate its growth. The two partners had previously made test brews of their Curieuse Neus in confidential quantities. This triple (7% vol. alc.) smells slightly of banana and is the head of their assortment with a strong Brussels character (Tanteke, Papy Van De Pils...). En Stoem' has become a sure value, so don't hesitate to venture to the brewery to buy directly from them.

Super des Fagnes Blonde, Brown, Cherry, Food

The Brasserie des Fagnes as we see it today, with its imposing tavern and the curious roof flanked by a windmill, opened its doors in April 1998. After a series of péripéties, it succeeded a certain Brewery Lauvaux, installed in Couvin in 1903 by Constant Lauvaux, also… world champion champion in 1901 and 1902. The Super des Fagnes Blonde and Brown are the most famous beers of the house, with their version Super des Fagnes Cherries.

But, the limited capacity of the mariembourgeoise micro-brewery, they are prepared by the Brasserie brewery in Purnode. On the other hand, the fagnard brewer gives himself a joy to develop in His walls a rich range of brassins, often inspired by ancient recipes. This goes from wise season, White, four cereals or even Type Munich, to more astonishing Cuvée Vigneronne, Cuvée Junior, Cuvée Guillaume to apples or even Mint and Lemon beer, dirt, heather flower…

Three other vintages are constantly being developed: the Super des Fagnes Noël and Scotch, and La, born of a partnership with the provincial domain. All these beers can be tasted in the tavern, which also offers the free visit of a small beer museum. It brings together equipment of a century and a half, but well preserved, from the defunct brewery Degauquier, which had installed its vats in Chimay.

Wipers Times (Blond, Dubbel, Tripel), Tremist, Grotten Santé, Epica

In the spring of 2014, the Sint-Bernardus brewery in Watou, in association with other professionals in the brewing world, set up a tavern and a brand new microbrewery in the historic setting of the Ypres Casemates, built in 1680 to Vauban's plans. The Wipers Times is brewed on the basis of four grains and four spices. It evokes the presence of English soldiers in the city during the First World War. The constant temperature of the casemates is used to mature the Grottenbier, renamed Grotten Santé. This beer was originally created by Pierre Celis. The famous brewer from Hoegaarden wanted to mature his new creation in a cave in order to guarantee a constant temperature for the beverage.

Le Barboteur, a little shop that is much talked about in Schaerbeek, specialises in Belgian and international beers with a space designed for tastings. It's not a beer bar, nor is it just a shop. Their beer library has no less than 400 beers, including 250 Belgian beers. Sébastien and Jean-Thomas have put the hop product at the centre of their policy, with a certain passion and dynamism. You can enjoy them, without fuss, with organic cheese and charcuterie from small producers, or vegetarian "spreads".

For more than twenty-five years, the Neufchâtel bakery has been offering its bread and pastry specialities to the eyes and taste buds. The Neufchâtel bakery elaborates with as much happiness the classics and the more original specialities. The varieties of bread are numerous, the baguettes are with tomatoes, bacon, dried fruits, etc. The éclairs are chocolate, raspberry or imitate the Paris-Brest. Cakes are available for every occasion. The Neufchâtel has been awarded the title of "favorite bakery-pastry shop of the region" by the APAQW in 2021.

This small store on the edge of the main road in Marcinelle transpires the belgian spirit. Numerous photos of stars from the Flat Country adorn the walls and there is something for every generation (Remco Evenepoel, Jacky Ickx...). The business opened in 2015 and offers nearly 300 brewery references. Note that the boss has his own beer produced in the Fou du Roi facilities in Thuin. Three generations in chocolate! La chocolate was created in 1946 by Ms Fronville, aunt of Étienne de Hucorne. At the end of his aunt's activities in 1974, Étienne de Hucorne, pastry-chocolate maker, took over the chocolate maker with his wife. In 1993, he decided to create Tea-Room pastry in the Saint-Loup neighbourhood of the old Namur. This is the famous House of Desserts. Today, with their two sons, Claire and Étienne de Hucorne are leading Masters of two essential institutions in the Hanzinelle landscape. The Chocolate chocolate shop, located on rue de Fer, offers numerous chocolates but also the Biétrumé, an exclusive caramel proposed by the house of Hucorne, with fresh baked cream, roasted hazelnuts, in two flavours, biétrumé butter and chocolate biétrumé. Also in shelves the tablettes chocolate tablets, base praline, base hazelnuts, milk, milk milk, milk milk… The House of Desserts, located on the rue Haute Marcelle, offers a choice of countless pastries, chocolates, macaroons and also a small, trendy restaurant in the exceptional surroundings of a 17 th century building.

Since 1821, the Rodenbach brewery has gone from strength to strength, and its reputation has spread far and wide. You'll be welcomed into the "Het Foederhuis" visitors' center, a perfect blend of industrial archaeology and contemporary design. Here you'll learn the fabulous secrets behind the making of Rodenbach beer. You'll be amazed by the tour of the touraille and the Rodenbach tuns cathedral. And, of course, the tour ends with a tasting! Don't hesitate to grab a bite to eat in the brewery and browse around the store, both of which are brand-new!

When leaving De Panne via Aduinkerke, alcohol and tobacco are cheaper everywhere! The choice is wider and the prices lower here than elsewhere. The welcome is also better... More than 100 different beers and their matching glasses are on the shelves. It is possible to order on the Internet and to organize your own gift basket. And to top it all off, a coffee, tea, cappuccino, espresso or chocolate is offered with every visit.

A family affair dating back to 1957! The store has been handed down from generation to generation. It wasn't until 1972, however, that the shop became a fully-fledged cheese dairy. After training with the best in France, the current owner, Carl Top-Verduyn, was determined to bring the savoir-faire of French cheeses back to his native Belgium. Today, he is in charge of maturing the cheeses, while his wife creates tasty preparations. A quality address!

Entering Giovanni's is a bluffing experience, because suddenly you're transported to Italy. It's all there: the marble counter where you grab your espresso in a hurry, the cornetti, the candy display where you're tempted to pay with Bacci chocolates. Giovanni Lepanto and his family run this lounge, where Sicilian specialties(cassata, cannolo) and Neapolitan ones(sfogliatella, pastiera...) are in the spotlight, along with fruit in marzipan. Caffè is a little expensive, but less than a plane ticket.

Rum from Liège ? Check ! Wine from Hainaut ? Check ! Organic jams and herbal teas produced in Brabant ? Always check ! The shelves of Gilles' store are filled with all the best that Belgium has to offer, all selected with love. Cookies, beers, chocolates, cosmetics, sauces, spreads..., we don't know what to choose! Saint-Octave offers cheeses and charcuterie from small farms at home and abroad that focus on quality, tasty products. Their raw-milk cheeses, some home-aged, are superb. Manneke is located a stone's throw from the Grand Place and offers only local products. In Lawrence's unique souvenir shop, everything is Made in Brussels, or at worst, Made in Brabant. From food items such as beers from small brewers, biscuits and confectionery, to recycled items, jewellery, T-shirts, cosmetics and even books on unusual Brussels, this local know-how, which is everywhere, is just waiting to be discovered by the general public.

A little ice cream is always a pleasure and here they are made with quality products (pistachio from Iran, strawberries from Wépion, hazelnuts from Piedmont, good cream from the Ardennes and fresh fruit for the sorbets). All this can be found at Gaston, the baby of Turan and Lucy Ucar. The long queue as soon as the sun is shining is proof of this: the ice creams are delicious. Alongside the classic flavours, there are more daring creations (pineapple-Sichuan pepper, berriolette - a mix of blueberry, raspberry and violet). Milk shakes and pastries are also available.

Papabubble takes you back to childhood! This small, artisanal confectionery literally plunges you into a world filled with sweetness and color, with its candies, lollipops and gummies (gelatin-free, to the delight of vegans). In addition to classic flavors like strawberry, orange, cherry or lemon, there are lots of much more original flavors (starfruit, coconut cream, orange blossom, geranium, aniseed or muscat grape, among others). As well as tasting good, they're very pretty to look at and are made on the spot in front of the customer.

If you're a lover of Japanese cuisine, you'll find everything you need to prepare your gyozas, sashimi and other specialties at this venerable institution: soy sauces, tsuyu, seaweed, mushrooms, noodles, miso paste... and everything you need to prepare your dishes and accompany them: cooking utensils, tableware, Japanese sake and beer, tea.... A family chocolate factory, Maison Léger is the fruit of the association of three brothers. Know-how and quality products are the secret of their success. The chocolate factory is located in a beautiful 18th century house. Ballottins of pralines, chocolate to spread or break, filled baskets, truffles, gingerbread... the hardest part will be not to leave with a bit of everything! All products are made on the spot by the master chocolate maker. It is also possible to personalize the packaging on request. A perfect gift idea!

The Brasserie des Légendes bears its name well because it is a true legend in the region! Thanks to its know-how, its history and a very respectful relationship with raw materials, this family business offers high quality beers. You will discover the whole Quintine range (blonde, amber with organic beer), but also the Gouyasse range, with in particular the Goliath. The shop also offers gift boxes with glasses, coasters and even "valisette" with an assortment of five different beers. An obligatory stop!

This confectionery is mythical, it has existed for over thirty years! First of all, it is located in a building of character, which dates from the 17th century, and its facade has bas-reliefs representing the seven works of mercy. Its specialty? The cuberdon - the nose, in French -, a cone-shaped candy made of gum arabic, filled with raspberry syrup (fragrant and very sweet), typical of Ghent. Other Ghent sweets include mokken (round aniseed cookies) and knopkes (a kind of cookie).

Dimitrios Tolis, who also runs the Play Bouzouki restaurant, is behind this pastry store, delicatessen and catering service. We don't know much about Greek pastries, so here's an opportunity to try them, especially since they are 100% pure butter (and olive oil)! Try the karidopita, a cake made of nuts and cinnamon and clove syrup, or the melomakarona, a traditional Christmas cookie with honey. If you don't have a sweet tooth, the catering service has a whole range of delicacies to take away with, of course, the wines that go with them.

Bi'OK Thorembais is a health food store located in Perwez. The store offers a wide selection of carefully selected dietary products. Bi'OK Thorembais is also known for its 8-hectare organic gardens, located just behind the Corbais store. Products from these organic gardens are available in all 4 Bi'OK stores in Wallonia.

The owner's aim is to unearth less popular craft beers with character. The choices of this small beer cellar are made in contact with the brewers. Malting Pot offers +/- two hundred special beers from home and abroad, classified according to their origin: Brussels, Wallonia, Flanders, Europe, the United States... Malting Pot brews its own beers, but they change regularly. Their beer of the moment is a gose (lightly salted) blond with lime and chili pepper, fruity, refreshing and spicy.

This is a real reference in the whole of Brabant-Wallon! This vast space of 150^m2 includes a large counter with 12 beers available on tap (10 of which are fixed) and a long list of 200 Belgian beers (and seasonal beers, ephemeral by essence). The team, very professional, gives advice to the undecided. The place regularly hosts small spontaneous concerts: everything is good for the pop-rock atmosphere of this bistro which attracts both passing beer lovers and local students.

This unique tasting room is located in the center of Ixelles. Here you can sample a wide range of teas, as well as coffee served in stylish teapots and cups. Enjoy a hot drink accompanied by their famous fruit tarts. The old-fashioned setting takes you back to the beginning of the last century and makes you feel like you're in an episode of Downton Abbey. You can also buy teas, infusions and accessories. This downtown address celebrated its 120th anniversary!

In his workshop, Frédéric Blondeel pushes the boundaries of chocolate. More discreet than most, he is one of Brussels' finest chocolatiers. A roaster himself, he makes sure his cocoa is of the highest quality, thanks in particular to the machine he inherited from his grandfather. His trademark? The herbs and spices that enhance his creations. In the boutique, you'll find his chocolates and champagnes from small producers. In the tea room: pralines, cookies and pastries, hot chocolate and ice creams made by Frédéric himself.

Excellent beer shop located between the Madeleine church and the eponymous concert hall. The owner is Nepalese, and even if Nepal is better known for its yak milk, Lila Pant has become a reference in beers, mainly Belgian. If the surface is not huge, the choice is large with more than 350 references. A good address and reasonable prices considering its very central location. To satisfy the most passionate, Lila adds postcards and posters.

It is the art of gelato à la florentine that is celebrated at Bargello. In fact, it was in the great Tuscan city that ice cream was born at the court of the Medicis. Here, only noble ingredients (pistachio of Bronte AOC, vanilla of Madagascar, hazelnuts of Piedmont IGP, wine Santo... The list already makes you salivate. In addition to the classics, we recommend the crema, a mixture of tasty ingredients: crema toscana with pistachio and almonds, crema fiorentina with eggs and lemon or crema bargello with mascarpone and coffee. Be patient, the line is long in summer!
