Directly inspired by Peruvian cevicherias, the restaurant's gastronomic offering revolves around raw fish and shellfish preparations, without neglecting the chilota tradition. A few Japanese-inspired fusion recipes round out the offering of this warm and inviting place. Desserts are also well thought-out, as are the cocktails, featuring local liqueurs in particular.

An ideal location and a rather pleasant setting for this restaurant located a stone's throw from the beach. It has been a real institution since 1848, when it was created as a canteen when Filomena was cooking for the soldiers of the marine army. The pizzas are generous but not exceptional. Try fish instead, fresh and tasty, like ceviche. Empañadas are not bad either. The service is sometimes random but it remains a classic of the city. In short, don't expect great quality cuisine but the dishes are correct.

We serve a tasty and different gastronomy based on game: deer, roe deer, wild boar or wild rabbit, the menu is nice! More basic dishes such as soups and pizzas are also available. An ideal break after a long day on the slopes. We particularly appreciate the setting, both inside - carpets made of animal skins and fireplaces - and outside, with the view of the forest and the volcano.

A nice find, although the restaurant is not necessarily easy to find. We come there to taste delicious preparations while enjoying the sunset, once again simply magical... Offers a lot of fishes like ceviche - we talk about the best of the island, tuna or matahuira with sweet potato, served in big shells. Most of the dishes are accompanied by richly flavoured sauces (including an excellent soy and honey sauce). The prices are relatively low for this address which we recommend 100%.

A very good meat restaurant with a rather exciting price-quality ratio. The embers are delicious (ask for Wagyu's lomo vetado), but the seafood (for example the Ecuadorian camarones) and risottos left us with good memories. Although popular, the address is not one of those "tourist traps" where you will be badly served and unwelcome, quite the opposite: the waiters are charming and friendly and some of them will be able to translate the map into English for you.

An excellent restaurant of the great Peruvian chef Gaston Acurio. Here, the sea takes the man and we offer you fish and seafood above all. In a modern and well-balanced atmosphere, the cuisine is top-notch: after a pisco sour or a Peruvian-style cocktail (obligatory!), try the anticuchos de pulpo a la parrilla as a starter (a delicacy), the ceviche then the tacu tacu creole (seafood on a kind of rice and bean omelette) or the giant crab. Excellent!

If you cross the threshold of their door, then don't fail to discover the few exclusives of this address: the Falklands sheep, the Hereford beef or the wagyu (Kobe beef from Japan), it's exotic, you have to admit it ! The seafood at this restaurant is particularly popular and is the cheapest curanto in the city. Taste the centolla, giant crab or spider crab, a condensed blend of flavours made in Chiloé! There is also carapacho: a delicious stew cooked directly in the shell of the seafood. In addition to seafood specialties, you can choose more typical dishes and empanadas. The prices are more than reasonable, the portions rather generous and the attention particularly friendly.

On the first floor of the main Cardonal market, near the terminal, in a colourful atmosphere so typical of the old port, this is a good address to soak up the local atmosphere. It offers mostly good and hearty fish and seafood ( machas a la parmesana are a must as an appetizer, then the chupe de camarones). The marina Paila (a traditional Chilean seafood soup) is particularly delicious. There are always local musicians who come to play the guitar and sing. A very picturesque address.

The sea air makes the bill a little salty (indigestible if you come from Peru), but the fish and seafood are very good. Try the shrimp with mango and the tuna steak, the ceviche is also delicious!

This well-established restaurant has been serving fish and seafood specialties for over 30 years: the decor has not changed... and neither has the cuisine!
