Read moreWe call them that because these monumental stones are about 6 m high and weigh about 40 tons! They are aligned perpendicular to the Kerzehro Alignments, from north to south. You will discover the Great Broken Menhir, struck by lightning in 1947, and the Table of Sacrifices (the one that lies down) whose roughness has fed the popular imagination: it is said that the druids, at full moon, sacrificed young children, smearing the menhir with their dripping blood...

THE GALLIC VILLAGE
Read moreIt seems that the village of Asterix is located in Côtes-d'Armor. Would it be that one? Not really, but built as part of the building of young volunteers, it has benefited from the archaeological discoveries made in the region. You can discover the life of our ancestors the Gallic and, above all, participate in the Gaulympiades, such as the race of the menhir driver or the maritime contests. Attention, nothing to do with the famous Parc Asterix near Paris, and rather aimed at the youngest. Here, pedagogy and quiet games are the program. In order to benefit from all the free activities offered in the park and the picnic era, a modest entrance fee was required. Be aware that this money will be used for humanitarian purposes, for the development of schools in Togo in Africa. More than 50 000 euros have been collected since 1996, allowing for 3300 children to be enrolled in 10 villages.

THE THROATS OF THE MADMAN
Read moreThe narrowest gorges in the world, with passages less than 80 cm wide, frightened the population, who were convinced that they were inhabited by the bruixes (evil witches). The legends merge with the history, that of the Trabucayres, the highwaymen who raged in the region around 1840. This canyon of 1,700 m long and 200 m deep is so narrow in some places that the daylight does not reach the bottom, it is where the Simiots live, those hideous beings straight out of children's stories.
