An archaeology area where you can discover Chauvigny's built and industrial heritage

In the Gouzon dungeon (12th and 13th centuries), the archaeology area offers visitors the chance to discover Chauvigny's built and industrial heritage. To visit, take the elevator, designed by architect Sylvain Dubuisson. As you tour the space (also with a tablet), you'll be shown through the eyes of an archaeologist, the industries of the Chauvinois region, from Neolithic times to the present day, including the porcelain and stone that have made the town famous. Go to the terrace.

Interesting site displaying items found in the region from the bronze and Iron Age and displaying Chauvigny pottery , handy lift to the top floor to look out over the city then down to each floor to view the displays.
