A site with a reception and discovery center that exhibits the main features of human societies over time.

1.5 km south of Saint Père, the site of the Fontaines Salées owes its name to the resurgence of salt water springs that were captured 4,300 years ago (Final Neolithic) by means of oak casings that are still in place. The remains of a vast thermal bath dating from the 1st to the 3rd centuries of our era, still testify to the continuity of human occupation. The reception and archaeological discovery center, recently created on the site, exposes the main features of human societies spread over time, from the Neolithic to Antiquity.

Un site très intéressant autour d'un complexe thermale celtique puis gallo romain.
Je recommande de ne pas passer à côté si vous passer dans le coin.

Quel dommage que le site soit méconnu. J'ai vu ici des choses que je n'avais encore jamais vu. L'utilisation d'eaux thermales pour les bains certes mais probablement aussi pour en extraire le sel. Des infrastructures qui sont apparues après fouille bien visible et un tout nouveau musée mettant en valeur joliment les artefacts trouvés sur site.
C'est chouette.
