A site with a reception and discovery center that exhibits the main features of human societies over time.
1.5 km south of Saint Père, the site of the Fontaines Salées owes its name to the resurgence of salt water springs that were captured 4,300 years ago (Final Neolithic) by means of oak casings that are still in place. The remains of a vast thermal bath dating from the 1st to the 3rd centuries of our era, still testify to the continuity of human occupation. The reception and archaeological discovery center, recently created on the site, exposes the main features of human societies spread over time, from the Neolithic to Antiquity.

En revanche aucune accessibilité à vélo/pieds (alors que c'est juste à côté de Vézelay et Avallon). Seul moyen d'y arriver : une départementale à 90km/h. On est venu à vélo et on a risque notre vie plusieurs fois. Par ailleurs, il y a un grand parking devant la site, mais les quelques arceaux à vélos se trouvent en bas des escaliers qui mènent au site......
accueil sympa et Philippe apporte le supplément d'infos sur le site dont on a besoin : musée détaillé une approche du sujet intéressante et le site en lui même est agréable à parcourir panneaux d'infos sur place et carte en main le parcours est instructif
