MEGALITHS AND PORNIC MOUNDS
On the road towards Sainte-Marie-sur-Mer and the Clion-sur-Mer, you will make an incongruous and fascinating discovery: two dolmens and a mound today classified historic monuments. These megaliths attest to a multi-millennium human presence. In the Neolithic era, the dolmen of the Joselière and the dolmen of the Prédaire was recorded. Also the mound of the Sparkling which was erected in 3500 BC, this tomb has two aisles with transepts which end with a rectangular room. Everything covered by a cairn. On the practical side, the dolmen of the Joselière is accessible by the coastal road, 250 m east of the Joselière beach. The dolmen du Prédaire is accessible by the coastal road, 500 m east of the fountain of the Fountain of the Bretons. The Sparkling tumulus is located 600 m north of Noëveillard beach.
