Organized by Arts et Créations, a designer concept-store in Rouffignac-de-Saint-Cernin, and by Ti-Tio Tatoo, a tattoo and piercing salon in Terrasson, in aid of the Roulez Jeunesse association, this event invites tattooed and non-tattooed people alike to come together for a festive, musical and joyful atmosphere on the first weekend in June. CARNAVAL DE BRANTÔME

In the run-up to Easter, the carnival is traditionally a time for feasting and merrymaking before the Lenten season. Today, the dates are more widespread in Brantôme, as they are in Périgueux, Nontron with the Soufflaculs, Bergerac, Sarlat and other towns. Make-up, fancy dress, singing and dancing, before setting fire to the vile carnival man known as Pétassou. It's all in good fun, and confetti is the order of the day.
