For a week, Sarlat benefits from memorable programming and extensive press coverage for this film festival.

The town of Sarlat-la-Canéda, which has been used as a setting for many film shoots, welcomes famous or anonymous film buffs every year. Young audiences and the audiovisual sections of French high schools take over the Rex cinema, which has been completely renovated, with six cinemas and a restaurant area, for exchanges organised around a fundamental work. Perigourdins and back-season tourists are delighted with the guest stars. For a few days, the pavement of the Sarlatan region takes on the air of the Croisette.
