Who would have thought that natural wine could be produced in the heart of Marseille? And yet, this is exactly what Nathalie Cornec has been passionately working on since 2015, in her winemaking facility near the Saint-Charles train station. A project launched long before the "natural wine" wave arrived in the Phocaean city two or three years ago. A true city dweller, Nathalie harvests in the Ardèche and Luberon regions, then vinifies in her urban cellar in Marseille. A unique case indeed. The wines are chemical-free. At the end of the day, you can come and buy your bottles.

Cultivated in organic agriculture, the 13 ha of olive trees in the Tapi Mas domain result from acquired know-how over five generations. The PDO oil Vallée des Baux-de-Provence produced here is declined in two juices: green and black. The Bellon family marked the history of the village of Fontvieille. Not only thanks to the notoriety of their oil mill, but also because two of its members became first magistrate of the commune, Hyacinthe and Henri. Today, it is the two sons of the latter, Jean-Pierre and Jacques, who have been at the helm of this field in the family since 1913. They grow their 3 000 olive trees planted on about twenty hectares with care: weeding, fertilisers, reasoned irrigation, etc. With fruits, they manufacture a PDO oil Vallée de Baux-de-Provence. Their moulin mill also presses the olives of 400. The Bellon also prepare table olives (Lucca and picholine), quenelle, and green olive pulp to basil or tomato. 

A producer of aromatic and medicinal plants, Wendy creates seasonal herbal teas to suit your needs. Zou maï is a detox infusion made from plants known for their natural benefits - rosemary, peppermint, linden, olive, elderberry and chamomile. Wendy also offers flavored salts and sugars, organic cane sugars to which she adds verbena leaves, mint or fine lavender. She gives pretty names to her herbal teas and by-products: le Fada, l'Ensuqué, le Pitchoun, le Cagnard, Mistral, Manon...

At the foot of the Alpilles, the estate has belonged to the Sabran-Pontevès family since 1817.Éloïse perpetuates a long wine tradition by developing the vines, planted by her great-grandparents in 1900. Wines but also organic vinegars, a confidential and even ancestral production because the mother (i.e. the gelatinous deposit that forms at the bottom of the wine bottle) dates from more than a hundred years ago, and is fed since with the tasting bottles of the domain started and not finished. Everything is qualitative, respectful, essential.

The Maison Gaillardet is above all a family history, a history of taste for good products. Their cult creation, the tasty Troprovençale! A brioche with orange blossom, topped with vanilla mousseline cream and sprinkled with sugar snow. To our delight, they offer different versions of this tasty brioche: chocolate, praline, chestnut cream, pistachio, lemon, strawberry or raspberry. We can't recommend any of them because they are all addictive.

We've been dreaming of a rhum arrangé made in Marseille, and Les Canailles has made it! Honey is a family affair with the Browns. No less than five generations have succeeded one another at the helm of this small business that produces a honey that is simply divine. It is here (and not at the abbey) that Frigolet liqueur has been made for nearly 150 years. Taken over by the Inisan family, the distillery produces more than 30,000 bottles per year. The secret lies in the right mix of thirty or so plants that have been macerated in alcohol and the addition of a honey-based syrup. In the small adjoining shop, you will also find pastry specialities made from this liqueur. During the season the distillery can be visited by appointment.

It is a beautiful wine estate that produces gourmet wines, but also quality olive oils. Planted on a hill and bordered by the via Domitia, Dalmeran is a magnificent property, on which Grenache, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cinsault are happily grown. The welcome by the owners is pleasant. They are obviously passionate people who like to share their passion and of course the product of their work. Same thing for the olive oils, declined in green and black. A nice visit in perspective.

It has been nearly half a century since Francis Honoré and his wife, Jacqueline, planted the first trees in their huge fig orchard. At Mas de Luquet, on 12 hectares, dozens of varieties of figs are grown. While Jacqueline concocts sweet and savoury recipes, makes jams and condiments (vinegar, mustard...), Francis uses his baguette to convince amateurs to succumb to the temptation. A couple to meet urgently.
