The AOC Palette is one of the most confidential in France (40 ha in total).The vineyard of Château Crémade extends over 9 ha, at the foot of the Sainte-Victoire mountain. The wines express the richness of the terroir and the know-how of this winegrower, in organic culture. The red and the rosé are made from a blend of grenache, syrah, cabernet-sauvignon, durif, castet, brown fourcat... There are 16 grape varieties in the red and 10 in the white, which is unique in France. Some of these varieties have even disappeared elsewhere. The wines are regularly awarded gold medals.

Opened in 1830, the Brémond confectionery is Aix's first and oldest calisson factory, located at the time on Cours Mirabeau. Brémond calissons are distinguished by their aromas and textures: candied melon, crushed almonds, candied orange and lemon, and the melting/cracking properties of powdered sugar. The company also produces other sweets, including the famous olivettes, chocolate almonds, candied fruits and marrons glacés, as well as savoury products, oils and tapenades. Every Wednesday, the Provencal market of Gémenos takes place under the Halle des Arcades, Cours Sudre. After more than a decade of work, the Domaine de Lauzières (on the D 24, 6 km from Mouriès) gradually restored its past chandelier. This is a prestigious area, just kilometres northwest of Aix. Pont-Royal Castle was built in the th century by the ancestors of the family. At the time, the master's house, the royal post relay and the hostel were used to serve wine from the area. Today, the vineyard stretches over 13 hectares and the operators, Jacques Alfred and Sylvette Investors, surrounded by their three children, vinifient their wines by focusing on revealing the aromas of the year in a perfect balance between colours, scents and flavours. The low yields and the small area of the vineyard make their vintage products rare and high-end. Result: two fabulous vintages (Grand Crus Prestige and Cuvée) with reds, rosé and the label organic quality agriculture France. The area hosts seminars, receptions and weddings.

This is chocolate heaven. The cocoa beans arrive at the workshop in their raw state, selected upstream by Mathieu Taborcia. Pâtissier-chocolatier and Compagnon du Devoir, Mathieu masters the entire chain, from sorting and roasting the beans to transforming them into bars, croque-amandes, orangettes and candied ginger... Welcome to Rocca Fortis! An estate perched at an altitude of 350 metres, with 24 hectares of organic viticulture. The owner, Raimond de Villeneuve Flayosc, enjoys a good reputation among wine lovers and, in viticultural terms, "calm" temperatures and a maritime influence beneficial to vine-growing. From these terroirs comes "Corail", an approachable, sparkling Côtes-de-Provence rosé. To convince yourself of the estate's excellence, treat yourself to "Les Mûres", a red Côtes-de-Provence, the house's best-seller.

At Château Barbebelle, one of the oldest vineyards in the region, Madeleine and Valentin work for the best: the alliance of modernity and know-how passed down for 4 generations! The 50 ha of vineyards in the Coteaux d'Aix-en-Provence appellation are located at an altitude of 400 m on clay-limestone soil in the heart of 300 ha of preserved nature. The production is 100% controlled, from the vines to the marketing, in conversion to organic farming. In summer, the park hosts concerts of the festival Les Musicales dans les Vignes de Provence.

A beautiful vintage front made of blue tiles straight out of the 1960s. This superb cheese shop, with its resolutely modern interior, offers a range of cheeses that would make any connoisseur or curious person swoon. At the helm, not Lucienne but Alban, a passionate man trained in cheese making. The cheeses are selected with care and taste: raw milk, pasteurized (Endoume is a district where the birth rate is exploding), pressed, soft or blue-veined. Regional and from elsewhere. It is superb and the welcome is very warm.

Nice gourmet address offering good cheeses from all over the country, carefully selected according to the season and some from small producers. You will also find good farm yoghurts (cow, ewe and goat), (real) good fresh cream produced in Vercors, churned butter and raw milk that the owner goes to fetch in person every two weeks. In the basement, there is a delightful surprise with a vaulted cellar, a former jazz club, where the cheese ripens quietly.

A new kind of gourmet market has opened on boulevard Longchamp, in place of a former theater. After a great deal of hard work and self-sacrifice, the trio of Amaury, Pierre and Hugo were finally able to open a beautiful indoor market at the beginning of September 2023, an inspiring and quite unique venue in the city center. La Madeleine de Marseille, recently opened as a boutique by two partners, Patrick and Nicolas, is located in the lively Cinq-Avenues district. It's a pretty store with the sweet aroma of freshly baked madeleines. Proust himself would love it, and would never leave the premises. Different flavors: aniseed, almond, pistachio, lemon, plain and a delicious melting sensation on the palate. A real treat. In the very pleasant district of Beaumont, the historical stronghold of the Armenian Marseillaise community, is Sassoun. This shop is the ultimate reference in Armenian fine pastry in the Phocaean city. Loyal customers have been coming for years now to enjoy a warm welcome first of all, and delicious sweets, baklavas, rich in honey and flavours or the Armenian brioche, the Cheurek. Les Fromagères offers a wide choice of cheeses selected from the best products matured in partnership with some of the most renowned Meilleurs Ouvriers de France. The welcome is pleasant, even familial. You can also eat there, for example, on the terrace. The store is located in a high mineral room illuminated by a large glass roof. A place to visit absolutely, as much for shopping as for the architecture.

Exceptional chocolate and pastry maker, Corentin Torres, vice-champion of France for young chocolate makers, has set up his shop in the 8th arrondissement, in the Pointe Rouge district. A chance for the southern neighbourhoods which were still lacking good pastry chefs, usually more towards the city centre. When entering this shop, watch your eyes. When you come out of it, watch your taste buds. The creations are superb, fine in taste and astonishing in the recipes. Individual desserts, set pieces and iced pastries rub shoulders with biscuits, calissons and chocolate sweets. At the end of the year, the home-made logs are a great success, and rightly so.

Launched in 2016 by David, this organic grocery store is one of the best addresses in the Vauban district. The emphasis is on quality products, mostly organic and very local. For example, there is cheese produced in an educational farm in the north of the city. The welcome in this shop is very friendly and one immediately feels a real spirit of closeness with the inhabitants of the district. On the shelves, everything is there, fruit and vegetables, dairy products, but also butcher's shop but also household products and baby products in particular. Note that the particularity of this grocery store also lies in its independence. It relies solely on the passion and love of its manager.
