In the very pleasant district of Beaumont, the historical stronghold of the Armenian Marseillaise community, is Sassoun. This shop is the ultimate reference in Armenian fine pastry in the Phocaean city. Loyal customers have been coming for years now to enjoy a warm welcome first of all, and delicious sweets, baklavas, rich in honey and flavours or the Armenian brioche, the Cheurek. Far from stopping at sweets, Sassoun also offers a range of salted snacks, bites and cheese or meat snacks on order if necessary. Their Lahmajoun is a real delight (it is also called Armenian pizza). Run for it!
