Welcome to Black Bird Coffee, one of the city's best coffee shops (our favorite). The decor is cosy and modern, with big leather armchairs, shelves of books and pretty hanging plants. Eugénie takes care of the cooking: carrot cakes, homemade fondant cookies, banana bread... On weekends, you'll flock here for a delicious brunch featuring a savoury platter and an all-you-can-eat sweet buffet (remember to make reservations). The best in town, in our opinion. At lunchtime, there's a slate of suggestions. Lovely welcome.

Just a few steps from the courthouse, sheltered in a small square, this trendy wine bar is appreciated by a large number of customers, young professionals or hipsters, and offers a really friendly atmosphere. The terrace is popular in fine weather, the pleasure being to share a good glass in good company at high tables or bistro. You can try excellent wines and thirst-quenching wines, about thirty references served by the glass, while nibbling on cold cuts, mature cheeses and a nice selection of tapas. At noon market cuisine, in winter, it happens in the vaulted cellar or on the heated outdoor terrace. Regular events organized.

A cocooning and bohemian atmosphere for this atypical space recently located in a small street at the top of the Cours Sextius. It is at the bottom that everything happens: in the double vaulted cellar whitewashed with lime. Inside courtyard style of a bastide for the restaurant part: patinated shutters, bistro chairs and tables, linen benches. Mediterranean atmosphere for the other part: indigo blue walls, cushions and coloured benches. It is a quiet place, conducive to relaxation and conviviality. Board games are available as well as books in the library area. Electric sockets and Wifi access allow you to surf the net. You can enjoy refined teas, herbal teas, Colombian coffee and snack on a cake. A fun, young and friendly atmosphere.

Now open all week to satisfy both karaoke fans and those who simply want to relax with a good beer, as the Coco is also a bar. All kinds of drinks up to the desired spirits and cocktails are offered (quite expensive though). Before "karaoker", eat a good ice or a good crepe to give you voice energy. Note that the establishment has a stock of 40 000 titles mainly focused on the international varieties category. Just across from the sea, Coco Bongo adds to a lively (but relaxing) atmosphere with a relaxing cocktail with a cocktail in front of the Great Blue moss.

In 2020, this unmissable Marseilles brasserie celebrated its 110th anniversary! For generations, people have sat there to see or be seen. From the prestigious Dark Island from Scotland to the more classic Guiness, you are bound to find what you are looking for. What's more, the draught beers change every 3 weeks: no time to get bored!

A popular address for an aperitif from 6.30 pm to 9 pm, with free tapas! Located above the Bellevue Hotel and under the benevolent gaze of the Good Mother, the setting is just as appreciable as the menu, with its woodwork, engravings, and its balcony-terrace which is always full, and for good reason, the view of the port is delicious. Music lovers will be delighted on Wednesday and Friday evenings, when live concerts are organised with a cheese platter and a good glass of wine as a bonus! An address not to be missed in Marseille.

Founded in 1929, the Navy Bar is the essential institution of the Old Port. In particular, it was chosen for the famous part of the card of Raimu. It's like this bar is irremovable in the affection of the Marseillais. Today, the bar, ideally placed, welcomes you from breakfast to dinner and much later. Different populations cross there, tourists to Pagnol lovers, fans of Love Addict (whose scene was there) to the nocturnal once night fell. The staff were very helpful.

The Cup of Tea is a bookshop-tea room with a lovely terrace and a selection of independent booksellers. Ideal for a cup of tea with a good read. In the charming store, with its wood panelling and subdued lighting, you'll find books and bistro tables, and a staircase leading to a cosy, intimate mezzanine - a well-kept secret! The walls are decorated with monthly changing exhibitions. The tea menu features some forty flavors, many of them oriental and exotic from Lapsang Souchong, India, Kenya and Japan, as well as a variety of aromatic blends of green, jasmine and Hanoi monsoon teas, all served in good-sized teapots. You can accompany it with a few good cakes (tarts, cookies, muffins...). Service is warm and friendly.

The tea lovers meeting on Longchamp Boulevard. Teavora, in addition to offering a wide selection of teas from the 4 corners of the world, offers an exotic and relaxing atmosphere. As soon as we get there, we're invited to take off his shoes and move on the sand. Then choose three different atmospheres, including the Berber tent, but also a décor of the islands or an appointment in India in a tastefully decorated room. Almost 80 teas to taste, infusions, tisanes, but it's not just hot… fresh fruit juice and smoothies too. Home pastries will accompany this moment of softness. For lunch, we'll opt for salads or salads. You can enjoy a trip to the city center.

In the Holy Street with narrow sidewalks, Stéphane Tramoni's wine bar is located. We are seduced by the décor: exposed beams, Toulouse briquettes on the walls, gouaille marseillaise in addition. On the plate, Provençal cuisine (package feet, mirrors smoke, pistou soup, winter game), abundance of goat, fig chutney and serrano, pata negra bellota, grilled grillades, and recently, fresh cooking for those who love to eat lighter. We come here both for the plate and for the glass or bottle, because we serve raw wines on the amazing strand, whose boss will explain to you the provenance, the history and advise you on the taste associations. To do nothing, the outdoor terrace is very pleasant.

In Aix it is called «BE». This is an institution on the Cours Mirabeau to take appetizers in happy hours. The outdoor terrace is pleasant in summer and is heated in winter! Inside, large rococos chandeliers and all the deep, you can join a more intimate room with comfortable seats if you wish. There's nothing to do with the outdoor terrace, where the music invites you to enjoy the atmosphere at the end of the day. It is rather "electro" and so very connected. You are on the most beautiful avenue of Aix-en-Provence, just opposite the fountain of hot water…

The most beautiful petanque court in the world, luxurious setting with a small wooden chalet on the waterfront. This timeless place has a breathtaking view of the Cap Canaille. On the menu: finger food, cocktails, wine or beer, for a capacity ranging from 50 to 100 people. When you say "pétanque", you say "pastis": there are six different pastis on the menu: classic, licorice or verbena. Ideal for an aperitif or a birthday party. Against all expectations, despite the exceptional location and panorama, beer is not more expensive than on the port of Cassis.

Red Lion Down Town is a friendly pub where you will find a wide selection of beers of all colors. Rock 'n' roll atmosphere in every sense of the word. The majority of clients are young. The service is nice. All the elements are gathered for a good evening! Football matches are also available.

Le Lochness is the new and first Scottish pub in Marseille, located next to the Old Port, on the Cours Jean-Ballard. In an authentic setting that refers to the Highlands, a mountainous region passing through Scotland, Le Lochness offers the discovery of the legends of the Battle of Culloden clans and the best Scottish beverages!

For over 60 years, smokers of all species have been in the Old port bar. It is known for two reasons: open in the evening, you can buy cigarettes until 22 p. m. in the winter and much later in summer. An indoor space on the floor is reserved for the tobacco addicts. Drink a café on the terrace, order a bakery or a sandwich all day, buy an ice, find together support the Olympique de Marseille in front of the giant screen are the additional proposals of this smoking bar not like the others. A nice setting and a nice ambiance, but a nice atmosphere for the game nights with good child fans.

It is a place not to be missed for the Arles parties. A great atmosphere, a top staff and a really pleasant setting, what more could you ask for? A beautiful terrace where it is pleasant to consume for example. Well, that's exactly the case. We really liked the cocktails and the little food that goes with it. It's really the perfect place to relax and have a great time with friends over a good beer, in moderation of course.

Here is the beautiful Café Célestine, in the heart of the village. The owners of the place are no novices, since they used to run the Micocoulier in Eygalières. On the menu, a cuisine from here and elsewhere, sometimes surprising, always tasty like the cannelloni à la Monégasque, spinach, chard and meat juice. Of course, everything is homemade, from the appetizer to the dessert. In the latter, we recommend the green apple and lemon pavlova. Note that the establishment alternates coffee, restaurant noon and evening, non-stop, for a moment of happiness.

In place of the Great R, the Grand Théâtre de Provence opened the Teddy Bar, a cosy atmosphere of a pub, open the evenings of representation from 19 H and two new intermission bars - one in the lobby, one in the patio for smokers (and non smokers).

A good evening, in love or between friends, around a good wine accompanied by a charcuterie and cheese board… it is hardly necessary to be happy. At 21 Chai, you will enjoy a fine selection of local wines, such as AOC des Baux, Ventoux, Croze-hermitage or some great wines in AOC Pomc, riparian, châteauneuf-du-pape. With Boujou, everything is now at your fingertips, with a postcard decor in the background. So take your latté, flat white or a freshly squeezed juice with you and enjoy it all with your feet in the water. Excellent homemade pastries, addictive, cakes, cookies and brownies will tease your senses. An excellent address that the neighborhood needed.

Halfway between the Palais Longchamp and the Réformés, a new bar has been opened to liven up the pleasant boulevard Longchamp. A beautiful, wide terrace for a new establishment opened by a young team eager to offer a place where having a drink rhymes with conviviality between friends and tasting aperitif platters on the go. It's a great concept and a real hit with a young clientele who have become fans of the restaurant's excellent cocktails. At lunchtime, we serve a burrata, a sandwich of the day and a few simple suggestions on the slate. A friendly, smiling welcome, a fine wine list and live music at weekends.

Justine opened her coffee shop after training as a barista and roaster, and working as an apprentice in Bordeaux, Madrid and Portugal. She roasts her beans on site, from Mexico, Ethiopia and Honduras. Each origin has a different flavor: full-bodied, balanced, full-bodied or light. Justine will advise you on how to choose from the different beans on offer. You can also sit down for a coffee with homemade brownies or cake - that's the Kaki concept, a convivial place.

Come to Bar Lounge Chang'an, this is an opportunity to discover a part open to all of Villa Massalia, hotel and bar, both under the theme of Asia. This is the Radisson Blu Hotel bar. It is located on the right of the entrance, inside, where you expect comfortable red armchairs. There are good cocktails (including a famous mojito), an aperitif, a digestive, a soft drink or a hot drink, but you can also eat it from until. On the menu, soup of the day, sandwiches, salads, pasta, and even hot dishes (chicken tajines, beef fillet…). Unless you prefer to drink a cup of champagne with a small dessert…

This Cuban restaurant offers salsa courses every Thursday evening (with Ingrid)… Many evenings are organized, South American or Antillean. Enjoy South American wines such as the Cafayate of Argentina or Chile's Casillero del Madre. At Le Petit Futé, you'll appreciate the relaxed, family atmosphere of the café, the lovely terrace and its truly Mediterranean ambience, as well as the coffee specialities on offer. A wide variety of fruit and vegetable juices, and an eco-friendly approach.

Opened in the summer of 2021, La Soifferie is attracting a lot of attention among the new bars in Marseille. A vintage decoration, a relaxed atmosphere that fits well with the Cours Julien district, people come here to taste delicious home-made cocktails, punches, a selection of craft beers or organic wines. A few small plates to go with it all and you're off to a great start to the evening. There is no doubt that at La Soifferie, it will not only be a question of thirst but also of moments of life.

Trendy coffee shop in the Opera district. A café that has become one of the most fashionable in the city. A neat decoration and in the air of time, plunging plants, light wood, space and a cosy feeling which already conquered more than one curious. Deïa's program includes coffee specialties, lattes (including amazing beet and charcoal colored ones), food from breakfast to lunch and the possibility of brunches all day long. Bowls, salads, healthy sandwiches, it's well done and totally in tune with the times. An address to discover and to adopt without delay. The only regret is that the atmosphere is a bit too "influencer" of the clientele, more busy taking pictures than having a good time.

Dimitri Tikhonkikh, a winegrower in Sannes in the Luberon, opened La Bonne Quille in Le Puy Ste Réparade, a few kilometers from Aix, with Hency, Cave and wine bar. The place is convivial, and it has to be said that the 2 partners are bon vivants. There's no fuss here, just sit out on the terrace around the barrels, or share the big table inside to enjoy a plate cooked by Dimitri or homemade tapas with a glass of wine. Great welcome, superb wines with Hency's advice, beers, spirits, delicatessen.

My Beers is, as its name suggests, a space entirely dedicated to beer. Blonde, brown, amber, hopped, roasted... you will find, on the displays of the store located in the new Shopping Promenade, an incredible choice of beers, from the most classic to the most original. The decor is warm, the atmosphere friendly. It is a perfect place for aperitifs with friends, around a tasting board that includes a sausage, a terrine and a Saint-Marcellin.

At the bottom of the Cours Franklin-Roosevelt, a discreet address that deserves to be known, a few steps from the Réformés. Behind an attractive frontage, we enter a rather surprising café, with its counter and the smiling welcome of the owner, then a room in enfilade where you can enjoy your coffee, tea or pastry on a sofa or on cushions. A Zen place, which offers teas and herbal teas, ayurvedic infusions and homemade blends, some with CBD. On the pastry side, gluten-free, vegan, classic, all homemade by the chef, just like the quiches and cakes served for lunch. We like to spend a relaxing and greedy moment there.

Hosted by Greg, Via Notte is a wine bar that hosts many FC Istres supporters. It is possible to watch the games on the big screen and it is not uncommon to see players in the third half-time well fried.

The gallery café of the Varieties, the cinema independent of the centre, is a haven of peace to extract from the constant movement on the Canebière. Well kept secret, it doesn't show its presence in front! This wine bar is one of the trendiest places in town! In the pedestrianised city centre, the place invites you to have a good time when you leave the office, at aperitif time, or in the evening. Taking the place of Melting Pot, Vice Versa opened in late October 2022 in this corner of the Cours Julien, which comes alive at weekends. It's a bar where you can enjoy imaginative cocktails, created by a bartender who has worked at such benchmark establishments as Caribou and Mama Shelter. You can also relax over a selection of beers, wines and soft drinks. When your legs start to itch, a small door opens and leads to a basement room where djs will keep you dancing until the end of the night.

Fancy a cocktail? Push the door, or sit on the terrace (depending on the season) of l'Heure bleue, THE cocktail bar of Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer. Mojito, tequila sunrise, bramble, the young and trendy team that runs the establishment masters perfectly the mixtures to last until the end of the night! Mediterranean tapas and smoothies are also on the menu. Here's a little riddle: which cocktail is made of vodka, blue curaçao and fresh yellow lemon juice? the "Blue Hour" of course!
