This «industrial cathedral» is one of the essential places of the Marseilles scene. Created in 2002, Le Cabaret Random is a theater, but also a club located in the heart of the Ravhe de la Belle de May, a former tobacco factory transformed today into a cultural pole with over 70 structures bringing together artists and producers. Near the Docks of La Joliette, this former wheat silo dates from 1927. Rehabilitated in 2011, it is now a performance hall dedicated to artistic programming: concerts, dance, theater, comedy... Labeled as a "20th century heritage site", its development is part of the Euroméditerranée project. A masterpiece of acoustics, visibility and comfort, meticulously studied. A place devoted to entertainment for 150 years, this historic cinema was first called Le Casino (1857) then Les Folies marseillaises (1878) before the construction of the Théâtre des Variétés in 1887, of which the facade sculpted by the architect Joseph Letz remains today. After an uncertain year 2016 and three years of struggle following the loss in 2013 of its Art et Essai label, the future of cinema was shaky, but finally the commercial court ruled and it was taken over by Jean Mizrahi (YMAGIS). Built on the narrow site of the former royal Jeu de Paume dating from the ^mid-18th century, this superb little Italian-style theater with a capacity of 493 seats has a charm all its own, due in part to the intimate atmosphere it exudes. Completely renovated in 2000, it boasts comfortable seats and perfect acoustics. It works hand in hand with Marseille's Théâtre du Gymnase and the Grand Théâtre de Provence, each year offering a program that alternates from one venue to the other, but is combined in a single catalog offered to the public.

Alongside the Quai du rire located in the same complex, the Comédie Club Vieux-Port has made a name for itself in the Marseilles comedy scene, especially in stand-up and improv. Ideally located on the Old Port in the heart of the Kev Adams space, you will find here a friendly, intimate room, allowing you to be close to the artists on stage. The Eden Cinema is a cinema as we like it. It smells good the cinema of our childhood while being equipped with a digital room offering the best projections. It is inseparable from the cultural and associative news of the village. Its programming is of great quality and offers the latest releases, both blockbusters and films of authors. It also offers the program of the Royal Opera House broadcasted live! It is the partner of the literary prize of the "Novel that feels good". In 2019, the Eden celebrated its 100 years. A monument!

Located on the Ju course, the concert hall and coffee are musical spaces where Djs animate memorable evenings and the programmers take date for their artists. The Espace Julien can accommodate up to 1,000 people and remains one of the indispensable scenes for contemporary music. An eclectic programming that connects as much with hip-hop as rock, electro or text song. Over 30 years of existence and the Espace Julien did not take a ride: always familiar with national and international musical news. Some parties are free and on registration via the website, especially within the Julien Café, a more intimate space open to local producers and artists to meet their audience. Unavoidable!

Le Moulin is a former neighbourhood cinema and theatre, formerly known as the "Moulin bleu", not far from the enormous Dome. He has built up a reputation of esteem in the music world over the course of his previous programming, which has given the turners confidence. If you are told Noir Désir in Marseille in 1989, look no further, it was at the Moulin. Nick Cave, My Bloody Valentine, Tricky, Placebo, Oasis, Femi Kuti as well. Today, new premises, new gauge with 1,450 seats, and new programming. A club of 350 people offers DJ nights, not forgetting artistic and technical support for local artists (SMAC system).

You have to enter the beautiful Old Charity centre to find this tiny movie that is a pure wonder. Those who practise films otherwise than for "dragouiller" Columbine will be in angels.
