La Maison du bon café is a well-known roasting company in Châteaurenard since 1958; all the products are made there. But it is also two shops with a tea room: one in Châteaurenard and one in Saint-Rémy. In a very chic atmosphere, you can taste an impressive choice of teas, coffees, chocolates and other infusions. A wide range that will make you discover new flavours like this Pink Sakura green tea with its sweet cherry scent. The tasting can be accompanied by macaroons, chocolates or cupcakes.

An address that was lacking in a Panier that tended to get drowsy too easily at the end of the day. At Tout vin à point, we take place in a nice little wine bar, which also serves as a dining bar. The owner will advise you on a nice selection of natural wines according to your preferences. A very lively place, where exhibitions and concerts take turns to never get bored. On the tasting side, to accompany your glasses of wine, there are boards of cold cuts, cheeses or mixed, but also a choice of Breton buckwheat pancakes. Conviviality assured and atmosphere that takes every time. It's a great place to meet people and it's a guarantee for the life of the neighborhood.

A historic bar in La Ciotat where petanque was invented! The café reopened in 2015 after a major makeover. Make way for a studied concept, a pretty setting with its mosaic floor, its line of tables on the terrace... Here, we give pride of place to local products from the Provencal craft industry with pastry cakes, ciotadens cookies or homemade lemonades. It is the ideal place for a sweet break: breakfasts, ice creams, waffles, hot-dogs, bagels, soups... The good idea: a solidarity bookshop is adjacent to the café!

Emki Pop is first and foremost a name that will remind you of delicious popsicle sticks. A local brand born in 2016 and delicious sorbet sticks that can now be found in many outlets in the city. But since 2017, Emki Pop also rhymes with a cafe, the first sedentary address after months of work in a scooter. A nice little café in the Vauban district, where you can taste the house specialties, the latest ice cream novelties, but also a wide choice of gourmet hot drinks and some very fun. Some small tables on a raised terrace in front of the store. A real charming little address.

The Longchamp district is rich in good addresses, but it was lacking a coffee-shop worthy of the name where you could enjoy good specialty coffees at any hour, complemented by a pastry or lunch on the go. That's exactly what the young couple behind Pollux thought. Two conversions later, we find ourselves in a café with a refined yet welcoming atmosphere. It's like being in northern Europe or the United States, but with the conviviality that makes our city so charming. Local coffees from Brûlerie Moka in particular.

A new address in the old town centre that bourbon lovers have already adopted. On the charming Place Sadi-Carnot, you will love the cosy interior of this bar run by an Italian in love with La Ciotat. A la carte, renowned spirits, rum, gin and whisky. There is something for every taste. The place to have a drink with class without it becoming "have you seen me". Very nice wine list too, Italian of course and French. You can also enjoy a picnic with some nice homemade piadinas, a real delight!

The Belle de Mai district does not stop at the Friche. A little further on, a sort of festive echo, that of the Chapiteau. An amazing place that unfolds behind the walls of a former bowling alley. A hybrid space of 2,700 m² dedicated to your pleasure! A complete place to relax, shoot iron, eat, listen to music and dance in the open air, in the afternoon and in the evening. A cultural and artistic place, popular and inclusive. In the middle of the huge field, on recycled pallets, stands a small marquee under which DJs and performers take turns. Around it: tables to sit at, an organic bar, a pizza counter and a bowling green. With friends or family, you can have fun, sip a craft beer or a glass of organic and local wine, in short, have a good time! The indoor room and its bar allow you to prolong the pleasure in clubbing mode. Varied program of local and international DJs. Electronic and dub music. A modern guinguette in a good spirit where respect for the body and nature are a must. The Chapiteau is a creative, modern, friendly and frankly endearing place!

Le 3 C is a cultural and civic café run exclusively by volunteers. Prior to the creation of Le 3 C, Aix-en-Provence lacked a citizen-run space for debate, reflection, creative cooperation and the discovery of both amateur and professional artists. An alternative cultural space to the omnipresent consumerist commercial culture. At 3 C, associations can find their place within a collective approach. A snack bar featuring organic, local, artisanal and/or fair-trade produce is also available. In this convivial space, you can simply come for a drink and, above all, share, learn and create. Plus: workshops on Tuesdays (sketching), Thursdays (computing) and one Friday a month (writing). Every Tuesday of the month, there's a big meal to which everyone is invited. A great address to discover!

You will find, in this mythical establishment of the city, an Italian restoration, and in particular the foccacia declined in various flavours, and the ice creams manufactured artisanalement are the new markers of the Bar of the Market. Also on the menu are charcuterie boards, seasonal boards, sandwiches and meal salads. Everything is perfectly fresh. The service is fast, the prices are quite reasonable and the welcome is pleasant. The perfect place to take a break between two visits of the city.

Always one of our favourite addresses in Cassis. A dining cellar only 50 meters from the port, orchestrated by the sommelier Philippe Bellec. A resolutely epicurean place with over 200 wine references: Languedoc, Bourgogne, Vallée du Rhône and of course the vineyards of Cassis. You can sit in the small dining room in bistro spirit, directly at the counter or on the terrace, and you can place the order: omelette and truffle ham, pata negra, tartine pesto with fresh goat cheese, ideal in early evening or for an improvised aperitif.

No doubt about it: here, wine is king. The bottles climb the walls, taking over every corner of the large space at their disposal. More than five hundred references are available, mostly from natural and biodynamic vineyards. It is a hybrid place, whose warm and relaxed atmosphere invites you to sit at one of the tables for a drink or a meal, as this cellar also offers tasty and quality food. In the summer, it houses the Louis Vuitton ephemeral bookshop.

Vincent Zakrzewski has brilliantly taken over the cellar of the Papazian family, famous for their Pastis & Compagnie boutique a stone's throw away. On offer are draught and bottled beers from around the world, creative cocktails and spirits (whisky, gin, limoncello...) from the region's distilleries. A fine selection of Cassis wines completes a wide choice that's sure to please. Les Caves du Port is a veritable cellar-bar, since everything that can be consumed on site can also be bought to go.

A cozy new café opened in February 2022 just off Chave Boulevard. A judicious location between several schools, nurseries and playgrounds. The café, run by a young woman and her sidekick, aims to be a friendly place to take a quality break. A cocoon where you can enjoy high quality coffees, great vintages, in espresso or in a more sophisticated way. A large choice of hot drinks, juices and some sweets for a nice snack during the week. On weekends, it's brunch with coffee, pastries, pancakes, bread, fruit salad, cold cuts and cheeses as well as home-made jams. Make a reservation, places are expensive.

At the Café des Thés, you can relax, read or work, over a coffee, tea or homemade hot chocolate, accompanied by a delicious sweet. In the summer, meet up with friends for an ice cream, a smoothie or a vanilla frappuccino. And at lunchtime, order salads or bagels. If you like tea and coffee, you can buy them by weight, but also teapots and other accessories. A very nice address, to be discovered urgently for the lovers of snacks!

The opening of this new night bar was a real event in spring 2023. A name inspired by the song of the same name by Michel Berger, but an interior decoration with a Gatsby and Roaring Twenties feel. In the center of this bar, a superb piano of course. All this is very successful, the atmosphere is both hushed and festive. Every evening of the week, different parties, disco funk on Tuesday, 80's on Thursday and 90's house music on Friday. Everybody rushes there, the success is there. On the catering side, you can enjoy Damien Delgado's casseroles from the neighboring La Poule Noire. Choice of cocktails with evocative names: Resist, Some words of love...

Classifying this place was very difficult because as its name indicates, it is a place that can be described as eclectic! Halfway between a coffee-shop and a beer cellar, you can come here to have a coffee or share an aperitif with friends. It's a café that we like to visit at any time of the day. At lunchtime, you can eat a dish of the day. For the snack, pastries, cookies very tasty. Finally a selection of craft beers will delight you. Young and family clientele at the same time. We love the colourful and quiet terrace.

Just a step away from the Plaine and the Cours Julien, a new little setting for a quality literary break. This bookshop-café welcomes you in a serene atmosphere, ideal to cut with the crazy rhythm of the city. The small terrace has a few tables where you can enjoy a hot drink and even nibble on a soup, salad or sandwich of the day, very generously garnished. On the bookstore side, a nice selection of classics and new books, very good advice. A smart place if ever there was one.

This new wine bar opened at the end of July 2022, a stone's throw from the boulevard de la LIbération, near the Longchamp district. It is in an old workshop (whose facade has been preserved) that one comes to taste astonishing vintages, living, natural wines, coming from Catalonia, Germany and elsewhere. Two small tables on the street, a little more inside. A large counter and a bar atmosphere in a garage quite surprising but quite pleasant. To accompany your wine, which will be very well advised by the young owner from Avignon, small cold plates of cold meats or vegetarian. Young and trendy clientele. Nice address in the neighborhood.

On more than 8 hectares, the area of the castle opens up new sensations. Built in the th century by Henri Saver, the founder of the training maritime company, the location seems to want to revive. Everything starts in the afternoon, relaxing by family by the pool. After or before bathing, the Tiki Bar awaits you and one of the 70 deckchairs. Fresh drinks, ice creams, cakes, but also ginger mojitos, limon vodka, gladiators fizz and other drinks that come into the formula coktail + transat. In the evening, it's in the trees that happens, where another cocktail bar makes you rise. Already quite intriguing last year with his Prohibitionist (Carry Nation) bar, Guillaume, is investing in a new summer 2012 concept. In the park, at night, you follow the colourful candlelight, raise your eyes to the sky and see this perched bar. Climb the secure steps and reach this luxurious cabin. The head in the parasols pines, well installed on the benches, you can enjoy a ginger beer, a beer without alcohol on site, small snackings, tapas to grignotter with your fingers. But caution if you feel dizzy or if the intention is to align alcoholic beverages, Pink Garlaban, electro-drink or old rums ambrés. You are 4 metres from the ground, it's about not losing the balance! Drink with moderation.

At the entrance to the Roquette district, you'll fall in love with the delicious pastries and divine 100% homemade viennoiseries in this charming, warmly decorated tearoom. Marion's eclairs include cracker éclairs, fig carré and, in season, l'Oranais, a croissant with seasonal apricots and crème pâtissière... The brioche buns and salmon and chicken cheddar bagels are exceptional. A festival of delights. Everything here is fresh and excellent. Focaccia with eggplant caviar, tarts with savory flavors. Go for it!

In the tranquil Niolon cove, where only a handful of quality restaurants disturb the calm of the narrow streets, La Canne Bambou is the place to be for locals and holidaymakers alike, who want to enjoy an evening of tapas and live music. A new tapas bar with a charming roof terrace and a few tables on the chapel square. Marinated octopus, croquetas, chicken egg rolls, raw ham melon and salmon tartare are the perfect accompaniment to your cocktail or glass of wine. A pleasant place full of good vibes!

Located on Rue Herriot, just a stone's throw from the hustle and bustle of the Prado traffic circle, this little café was opened in January 2023 by Sarah and Justina. A lovely cocoon where you can enjoy a gourmet breakfast of freshly squeezed juice, a hot drink, pastries and jam toast, for example, first thing in the morning. At lunchtime, you can choose from a slate of salads, tartines and a daily special. We love the cosy interior, decorated in a modern, uncluttered style, which makes you want to settle in and stay a while. All day long, the café serves as a tea room, and we'll be delighted to welcome you for a well-deserved break.

It's an address that's getting people talking. Perched on Cours Julien, in a street of flamboyant street-art, this surprising wine bar has made a specialty of showcasing "orange wine". An astonishing color for our eyes, but so pleasing for our curious taste buds. The color is obtained by vinifying a white wine close to a red wine. A fine selection of vintages from all over the world. The fine wines are accompanied by the cuisine of the chefs in residence each month, Valentin Raffali, the chef-owner having embarked on new adventures.

An amusing detail in the 3 B's restaurant menu: the pizzas are named after wines. Why are they called Sancerre, Sauvignon or Piquepoul? Because 3 B is not only a quality restaurant, but also a wonderful wine cellar. The choice is large, and the owner will give you excellent advice to match your dish and your bottle. The good understanding, he knows it! As well between himself and his customers, as between the dishes and the wines. You can go there with your eyes closed, you will come out fulfilled.

A pretty red storefront, a zen-like red-and-white boutique, lined with large metal tins preserving the scent and flavor of 200 varieties of tea from India, Japan, Thailand, South Africa and China. You can enjoy a cup of tea (with a Japanese pastry) on site, on a small terrace, and even attend the rigorous tea ceremony orchestrated by a Japanese master three times a year. Guillaume, passionate about the art of tea, enthusiastic and expert, will advise and initiate you into the subtleties and specificities of this beneficial beverage. And for tea addicts, there's something new every month... Beautiful tableware ideal for a gift.

100% gay bar located in a small pedestrian street, close to the MG Club. Many boys are at this air-conditioned bar close to the town hall and thermal baths, consisting of a room with the counter on the ground floor and two rooms in basement, arched, with billiard and a baby-soccer to get familiar with a sport often forgotten by the gay or having fun between mates. It is possible to surf the web with the free Internet point. Thematic evenings are regularly organized.

Qu'a vist La Ciotat, se noun a vist Ô Central, pou dire : n'ai rèn vist ! This institution of the port gathers natives, visitors and workers of the building site from the morning around a coffee, the midday to benefit from the sun and the evening for aperitifs which one remembers. It's a bit of a friends' place with the friendly Hervé and Mathieu who run the place. Le Central has been given a makeover, with a larger bioclimatic terrace and green walls. In season, you can't miss the Friday concerts if you walk along the port.

Located on Crudère street, this bar has everything to please: a welcoming counter, an authentic and warm decoration and especially... a great selection of beers! Ten drafts of the day are served and change daily. Some are foreign, others French... and there are even local ones! The Voie Maltée's premises are also regularly taken over for an evening for artists' exhibitions, acoustic concerts, dj nights and many other events. Try it out for a lively evening!

La Maison de Jo & Gaby is at once a wine cellar (the only one in the town center), a wine bar and a fine delicatessen. In addition to a selection of champagnes, wines and crus from Cassis, Provence and all regions of France, you'll find excellent Iberian charcuterie, regional cheeses, truffles in all their forms, and even French caviar. As for the wine bar, you can enjoy your glass of wine on the terrace or in the cosy lounge with its jazzy background music. Live entertainment is organized regularly.

Did you grow up in the '90s and are eternally nostalgic for that era? Then this brand-new bar, opening in September 2023, is for you. With a guaranteed fluorescent atmosphere and themed decor featuring posters, goodies and retro video games, you're in for a real childhood experience, and we have to say it's a real success. Totally unique in the region and unheard of in France, the famous living room from the American series The Simpsons has been recreated. There's a great atmosphere at the bar, with sports broadcasts and a fine selection of tapas in the evening. You won't soon be able to do without it.

A newcomer to the beer bar scene: Aix pression (Rognes brewery) has opened its bar right in the center of Aix, in the trendy district! Here you'll find the full range of beers, as well as others, notably Aixoises... Unique in France, a draught gin and tonic (with their own gin and tonic)! In the evening, cocktails and tapas are served with respect for local producers and Aix know-how. There are also tastings and workshops to help you become a real bartender: learn how to make three signature cocktails in a jiffy and impress your friends.

Arthur and Charlotte want to share their love of the South: they recently opened a beautiful bistro next to the Cours Mirabeau, with a welcoming and generous bar featuring the colors of Provence. In the evening, it's aperitif time in a cosy, friendly atmosphere. Aperitif platter, croque-monsieur or veggie platter. The wine list is extensive, and there's a wide choice of cocktails: from Mamette, a start-up from Aix-en-Provence that you'll find in the guide, to Jardin d'été (gin, cider, orange blossom and lemon) and Melon Martini (vodka and melon juice), everything is fresh and often homemade. It's a wonderful, fresh discovery! Let's run there!

Ranked first in the 2019 French Coffee Championship, Mana has moved but the coffee is still excellent. As the seasons go by, Alex and Benjamin select great vintages that they roast themselves. The freshness of the coffee bean adds great subtlety to the taste. In a warm student HQ setting, a gourmet menu of vegan and vegetarian specialties, teas and freshly extracted fruit juices is on offer. On Sundays, the sweet and savoury brunch is a big hit. Also a caterer and food-truck that can be privatized for events. You'll also find their golden-yellow bags in the city's best addresses

Its beautiful terrace spreads out over both the rue d'Italie and the Place Forbin at the top of the Cours Mirabeau. The animation is there. You can have a drink with friends but also have a bite to eat with a choice of beef tartare, Italian burger, homemade beef lasagne and copious meal salads. The chef has recently changed. All day long, the gourmet break with fruit pie, cottage cheese, gourmet coffee, fresh fruit platter, ice cream and sorbets. Recently, a pizza area with a real bread oven, to eat on the go or to take away... a little piece of Italy on the street of the same name, in short an ideal location in the heart of Aix-en-Provence!

Maison Weibel, on the corner of rue Chabrier, is part patisserie, part tearoom, an Aix institution since 1954. Take a gourmet break in one of Aix's finest pastry shops! Weibel is known for its exquisite choux pastries, amandines, gâteau à la brousse, mille-feuilles and Castel praliné, one of the house's great classics... For breakfast, tea or Sunday brunch, if there's room, sit inside or on the small terrace in the lively pedestrian street along the two facades. At lunchtime, small dishes, croque-monsieur and salads.

For a drink at any time of day, on the terrace, in the shady square or inside at the bar, the Brasserie des Arts is a fun, festive place to be! With acoustic concerts, blues, jazz and rock'n'roll live music on Thursday and Saturday, and a DJ on Friday. Tapas are served with the aperitif, but if you're feeling hungry, the chef is in the kitchen preparing delicious dishes (you'll find them in our "je me régale" restaurant section). The atmosphere is relaxed, the clientele is of all ages, it's warm and friendly, in the spirit of a neighborhood bar. It's not far from the city center - just walk up Rue Portalis to the top!

If you'd like to relax over a cup of tea in a comfortable, refined, chic and confidential setting, head for La Maison Française in a quiet street in the historic center. Known to Aix gourmets for its restaurant, this new address (formerly the Agnès B boutique) is less well known for its tea room. Sofas, deep armchairs and low tables invite you to relax. The Mariage tea list will delight Five o'clock purists, as will the infusions... The pastries of the day are presented on the sideboard; other sweets are on offer, such as calissons, cookies, marrons glacés, cornes de gazelle... you can extend your visit with an aperitif before dinner... and take a look at the boutique opposite, stocked with the finest French brands.

Hardly a year goes by without the Belle-de-Mai district, around La Friche, seeing the arrival of an exciting new address! To be perfectly accurate, we're not actually in La Belle-de-Mai, but a stone's throw away, and at Les Pieds tanqués, a stone's throw counts. Here, in a place that's all about conviviality and meeting new people, lots of young people come for a drink, a bite to eat and a game of cochonnet. Because yes, Pétanque does indeed come from "tanned feet", and its name did indeed derive from this expression when it was created in La Ciotat. We love the healthy spirit of this new place for sharing, the idea that Provencal heritage can be combined with our modern lifestyles.

A few weeks of work and a new skin for this café, which is now a must in the Opera district. The dynamic Dvozig is still at the helm with his unstoppable concept of tea and infusions bar. A cosy place with a beautiful terrace where you can lounge in the sun while enjoying the liveliness of the Place de l'Opéra. To eat now, Dvozig has revisited things with a tribute to its origins: small home-cooked Armenian dishes and snacks, at low prices. But Infusion is also and above all a place to discover the world of tea. About forty references and some of them change according to the seasons. We still like it, bravo to Dvozig who reinvents himself.
