Read moreAn address not to be missed for gourmets. Saved from extinction in the 1980 s by a handful of irreducible, Bigorre's black pig is now a product of excellence. The slow growth of these animals, fed mainly by meadows, acorns and chestnuts that they find beneath the trees, gives very tasty meat and rich in intramuscular fat. Their meat is used in meats and cured with exceptional organoleptic properties. Ham will be obtained in particular, refined for 20 to 35 months by refiners masters. Visits and tastings are provided by the producers, Julie and Pierre Grau, who will be able to discover and appreciate these rare places.
