Attention jewel! Su Murruai, despite the modesty of its chef, is a real gastronomic address at a reasonable price. The fine decoration, the muffled setting and the light tones of beige are echoes of the nourishing earth. This finesse continues in the plate with dishes with frank and subtle flavors. The chef reminds me that we don't divert the product here, we serve it as it is so that it expresses all its essence. Slow food philosophy and zero km are the credo of the store. Extra fresh and high quality of course to reach such heights. We love it!

"Ottimo" is Italian for "excellent". Excellent setting, you couldn't dream of a better place at the foot of the dunes, with a view that embraces the entire beach. Excellent, uncompromising seafood cuisine: Andrea decides on the menu only the day before, as his entire philosophy is based on the products of the local catch. Among all the delights, we succumbed to the "confit" octopus, quite simply exceptional. For wines, close your eyes and let Simona advise you. All in all, Mates offers a true gastronomic experience. It's magical!

Da Lucio is the place to be on Marceddi. Situated on the seafront, facing the fishing boats, the restaurant has existed since 1971 and its reputation reaches every corner of Sardinia. It takes advantage of the many pelagic assets of the surrounding waters: black clams, mullet, sole, sea bream, sea bass, shrimps... A little extra of the house: the wine is a pure home-made production and the whole cuisine responds to the slow food movement, favouring local producers and products. Reservations are highly recommended, especially in summer.

"Renzo e Rita is a fine example of a reasonably priced pizzeria and restaurant in Sant'Antioco. With an elaborate menu of Sardinian dishes and a wide choice of pizzas, this address is sure to please. Visitors are seated in a long, air-conditioned dining room. It's best to sit at the back of the room or on the terrace, away from the pizza oven. The chef offers some forty varieties of pizza, all of which please the many regular customers. So much so, in fact, that it's best to make a reservation, as it's often fully booked.

In this restaurant with a totally Italian atmosphere, you will enjoy delicious seafood specialities. Spaghetti or seafood risotto, marinated mussels, fried fish, octopus salad and even lobster. All the dishes are hearty, appetizing and offered at very reasonable prices. Save a small place for dessert, as the tiramisu deserves to linger there. The friendly and attentive service contributes to the pleasant atmosphere. Remember to make reservations and if possible on the terrace, because there are always lots of people, especially regular customers.

The name of this restaurant is taken from the diminutive applied to Iglesias: "the city of churches". It's true that there are a lot of them. The Villa di Chiesa is located in the shadow of the Cathedral of Santa Chiara d'Assisi, in the pleasant town square. Better than the bourgeois hall, the large terrace on the square is sheltered by large white parasols. The chef offers a traditional menu of Sardinian-inspired dishes and pizzas. The antipasti are good and served copiously, but above all taste the seafood pasta.

This typically Sardinian restaurant in Pula is the perfect place to enjoy regional dishes. Located in the city centre, after Piazza di Popolo on the right, the blue gate opens onto a large and pleasant open-air terrace where piglets are roasted on the spit. On the small checkered tablecloth tables, boards covered with sheep's cheese, cold meats, home-made gnocchi and grilled meats lie on a bed of myrtle leaves. Certainly the best spot in downtown Pula with Da Giancarlo.

Halfway between Pula and Cagliari, at the mouth of the Capoterra and Cagliari ponds, this restaurant is famous for its traditional fish and seafood dishes. This fine table at Oristano stands out for its warm, modern setting and inventive Mediterranean cuisine. In other words, it's beautiful and tasteful, from the room to the plate. The dishes are beautifully presented, such as this octopus with potatoes and tomatoes or this fish fillet with artichoke and clams. The flavours are fresh and sliced. The prices are a little higher than elsewhere, but this is a change from the traditional Sardinian tables. Also note, also, a beautiful wine list that allows you to discover the region.

Perched on the heights of Bosa, you have to be prepared to climb several steps to get there. But the effort is worth it, because the Borgo San't Ignazio offers another atmosphere, another setting, nestled in the heart of the medieval district of Bosa. The beautiful vaulted room with stone walls and irregular plastering betrays the age of this house. Here you can taste Sardinian cold meats and cheeses, fish al forno, pasta al dente or seadas al miele. The terrace occupies half of the alleyway, installed under the vine or in the sun.

This family-run restaurant in a pleasant and elegant setting attracts guests from the chic hotels of Cala Caterina. It offers a beautiful marine menu with refined products: spaghetti with lobster or crayfish, cockles and clams soup, cuttlefish ink risotto, sea bass with olives, tomatoes and potatoes or malfatti, delicious Lombard dumplings with spinach and ricotta. Between two courses, you will enjoy the incredible view of the bay of Santo Stefano and its azure blue. A must in Villassimius.

You wouldn't expect to find such a refined restaurant in the small town of Sant'Antioco, and yet... Da Achille revisits all the best Italian specialities and cooks them in its own way. Meat, fish, pasta, are nicely prepared in beautiful dishes. The restaurant of the Hotel Moderno is a favourite with locals and tourists alike. The restaurant is decorated with natural materials and small touches of original colour. It is a change from the rusticity of many Sardinian restaurants.

This pizzeria is a meeting place for locals who appreciate generous quality and low prices. The restaurant doesn't look like much, but the exposed stone walls and the terrace at the back give it a certain charm. The wood-fired pizzas, with their thick dough, are topped with fresh produce. The restaurant also offers pasta, including fregola with semolina, and plates of Sardinian cold cuts and cheeses. A good little typical canteen.

This "must-see" address is mentioned almost everywhere for its very good local cuisine. All the inhabitants of the region know this table with its high prices, certainly, but with its enchanting setting. An old farmhouse has been completely renovated to accommodate a beautiful restaurant and a few rooms. The hostel is located on the Oristano-Sassari road. It serves a delicious cuisine, facing the sea, but also the essential Sardinian pasta: fregola and lorighitta. Reservation is required at weekends.

This excellent fish restaurant evokes a time when bluefin tuna were common in the waters of the Mediterranean. Luckily, there are many other pelagic resources that end up nicely cooked, such as this pasta with langoustines, this squid stew or these large tagliatelle mixed with fresh tomatoes and mussels. But the speciality to taste absolutely is the cascà, a variety of Tunisian couscous. One sits on one of the two sheltered terraces, with no view, but with comfortable high chairs.

The restaurant and fish shop Sandolo is one of the institutions of Carloforte and an address to be discovered absolutely. At the end of the harbour, the white front, the tables covered in blue and the white tiles on the wall remind us that we are in a real fishmonger's shop. From the fishing to the plate, every day fish and seafood are brought here and transformed into a beautiful fresh menu: rosé tuna and cherry tomatoes, sea urchins, beautiful shrimps, squid, catch of the day... for fish lovers, you are at the right place!

A little out of the city centre, but close to the hotel district, this table will seduce gourmets. The pleasant and modern setting, all in white, serves as a showcase for a very inspired cuisine. The self-taught chef Christian Pollu selects the best products, most of which are fished off the coast of Sardinia. He sublimates them with minimalist preparations of Sardinian inspiration. Cucina Machri is considered the best table in Pula. Prefer an indoor table, the outdoor terrace overlooks the sometimes noisy street.

This pleasant and recent trattoria located in the historic centre welcomes you in a cosy setting dressed in light tones contrasted by stone and wood. Here you can enjoy tasty Sardinian specialities made with fresh and local products, with a special mention for seafood and excellent grilled fish. Tuna and spaghetti alla bottarga are a must to discover. For dessert, the gourmands can enjoy a ricotta cheese cheesecake. A great discovery. Don't forget to book.
