Companies such as Ryanair and Easyjet offer flights from France to Cagliari. The port of Cagliari is also an option for arriving in Pula, with Tirrenia crossings from Arbatax, Civitavecchia, Naples and Palermo. ARST buses also provide regular connections between Pula and the towns on the south-western coast. Once in Pula, you can stay in vacation villages, hotels, B&Bs or campsites. For a bite to eat, you can sample delicious giant pizzas at Sa Macinera or opt for quality cuisine at Machri. Pula is also renowned for its magnificent beaches, such as Nora beach and the beaches of Chia. Read moreFew couples follow the traditional Sardinian wedding ceremony. In 1962, the village of Selargius, between Cagliari and Quartu Sant'Elena, had the idea to organize a wedding that respects the ancient customs. Since then, the Antico Sposalizio Selargino is held every year and brings together all the inhabitants of the village. The couple and the two families dress in the traditional costume and march in separate processions. Salt and grains are thrown on the couple in wish of prosperity.
