This is one of Carloforte's most traditional and renowned restaurants, recognizable by its pretty, tree-lined wooden storefront as you enter the harbor. On the menu: fresh cuisine and Sardinian dishes in this Pomata family-run establishment, considered one of the best in Carloforte. They also own the nearby Pomata bistro, offering modern cuisine and good pizzas for those looking for a trendy rather than traditional venue. House specialties: tuna trippa and tuna alla carlofortina.

Pasqualino has a certain idea of elegance that is expressed in the dining room of this traditional trattoria. The curtains on the windows are pleated, the tablecloths on the tables are lined, the floor tiles are checkered. The whole thing is a bit sad, reinforced by the bric-a-brac at the back of the room. Fortunately, the chef's talent saves the content of the plates. He mixes Sardinian and Ligurian influences and perpetuates the tradition of the cascà (couscous) brought back from Tunisia, while sublimating the products of the sea.

If you don't plan to sleep in this albergo diffuso, you can enjoy its authentic and charming setting for dinner. It is served in the garden in spring and summer and in front of the fireplace in the beautiful vaulted room in winter. Bithia is a chic restaurant nestled in an enchanting setting. Away from the road and the hustle and bustle of the beaches, the beautiful round room and its large veranda look out onto a spotless garden framed by hills. In addition to a typical Sardinian menu combining products from the land and the sea, the restaurant also offers pizzas. The limited selection of products is fresh and of high quality. The pizzas are available in "red" or "white" versions, with or without tomato sauce. Don't forget to book if you want to enjoy a table on the terrace.

Cocco & Dessi is one of Oristano's bourgeois addresses. The elegant setting is a perfect match. Chairs and tables are skirted, glasses have legs, and the table is set when you arrive. The restaurant's Mediterranean cuisine is dominated by tomato, basil and olive oil. A special mention goes to lobster, cooked Catalan-style here with onion, tomato, oil and salt. The fish of the day is never lacking on the menu. Excellent wood-fired pizzas keep the bill down.

Located in a former warehouse built some 250 years ago on the port, this restaurant has established itself over the seasons as the best table in the city. Nicolo Pomata, the chef, can be recognized by the bandana tied on his head, which never leaves his head. So much so that the locals have nicknamed him "the pirate". Nicolo takes pleasure in promoting the bluefin tuna, unfortunately in danger of extinction. So he skillfully tastes swordfish cooked with aubergines alla parmigiana and mozzarella or carlofortais maccheroni with pesto, tomato and pecorino.

The Mirage is the good little tavern where you can taste the great classics of Sardinian cuisine, from fregula to clams, spaghetti with seafood or burrida cagliaritana. The hotel's restaurant of the same name can serve up to 400 covers in August, and guests flock to its trellis of flowers to enjoy delicious cuisine at very affordable prices. Black and white tagliatelle with seafood, Sardinian ravioli with tomato and basil or scorpion fish served in a basil sauce are a delight for gourmets. Out of season, the large design room dressed all in white and with soft lighting is also very pleasant for a dinner with friends or lovers.

Beware! Don't go if you're in a hurry. We waited almost an hour before we had our pizza. There are many people, and… many disappointed too!

The dishes can be bought to go or enjoyed on the pretty terrace.

This trendy beach bar-restaurant offers sun lounger and umbrella rental and a fine cuisine. It serves breakfast to dinner daily in season and weekends out of season. Dishes such as the bluefin tuna tartar or the seafood spaghetti express all the qualities of a young chef who is looking to prove himself. Burgers and pancakes add a casual touch to the menu. The little extra is the rental of a "gommone" (zodiac) to visit the meanders of the jagged coast. It's beautiful!

This pizzeria located just past Piazza del Popolo is the address recommended by locals, a good sign. Here is a unique place, both restaurant and bed and breakfast. From the table to the bed, there is only one step. We fell in love with this place with its local cuisine based on ultra fresh products and "km zero" as we say here. Let's not forget the excellent wine list that focuses on local products. The rustic and elegant style of the place is found in the 6 rooms, all very well equipped and decorated. Ideally located less than an hour from Cagliari, close to the beaches and 30 minutes from the island of Sant Antioco, this is an address not to be missed.

In a picturesque and quiet corner of Bosa, at the foot of the fortress, you can enjoy a cuisine where good local products are prepared with audacity and originality. This freshly opened brasserie-restaurant, with its modern, industrial decor and view of the gleaming vats, won us over. It serves excellent pizzas, accompanied of course by the house beers brewed on site. The foams are almost organic, unfiltered and additive-free. But the cochonnailles served on a plank (as well as the cheeses) are truly succulent. Rubiu ("red" in Sardinian) is the story of three friends who are natives of the island, and they'll tell you the rest because they're so adorable.
