It's a tavern that Hemingway wouldn't have denied, and with good reason: here, the owner cooks, and you can enjoy his "variations on tuna". Not forgetting the tuna couscous, as Pietro reminds us! Heartfelt, generous cuisine, just like the staff. The terrace, overlooking the harbour, is another driftwood setting. Last but not least, this is where you'll find the best pizzas on the island. We love it!

"It was a small bar when it was born in 1957," says Stefano, who has been running the place since 2003, half a century later... Altamarea is S'Archittu's must-visit restaurant. Three modestly sized dining rooms, one of which has its feet in the water. The atmosphere is family-friendly, simple and straightforward, much like Stefano's own image. The food is delicious and fine, and the prices are very reasonable for the location. The pizzas are also an excellent choice, as are the local wines. We love to sit under the straw hut, facing the Grande Bleue... Contemplative!

If we had to choose only one on the long stretch of sand of Torre Grande, it would be Riva Nord. We were simply charmed by the place: the restaurant is located on the beach, just a few steps from the water. The service is impeccable, the staff very smiling and attentive. The tables are quite far from each other, creating a little intimacy under the large veranda. A local cuisine but revisited, and of course one comes to Riva Nord to taste sea products: the octopus is delicious and the pasta recipes are surprising.

This absolutely surreal address is well worth a stop. Along the promenade of the Nebida belvedere opens a wonderful terrace with a view of the sea and the Pan di Zucchero rock in the distance. The kitchens take place in what was the explosive depot of the old mines, while the tables are spread out on the shady promenade. Pizza is the great speciality here, but you can stop for a drink. 906 Operaio pays homage to the miners who died in the 1906 revolt protesting against inhuman working conditions.
