The entrance of the aven lies in a vineyard, east of the village of Leucate. Like his neighbour, the Fées cave, he contains a trap at the end of 1960 by the underwater research and research group. This endowment fund intends to preserve, enhance and animate the City of Carcassonne. Founded by passionate Carcassonnais, this initiative develops projects mixing popularization and innovation, in connection with heritage, art and the center of living medieval history and the language institute. The small village of Cabespine lies at the borders of the Minervois and Cabardès, nestled in the valley of Clamoux, between plain and mountain. He belonged to the abbey of Lagrasse of the time of Charlemagne, until the Revolution. The castle, built in the th century, was later, a royal garrison, but today remains only a few ruins under study. The parish church, built in the th century, is well preserved. Beautiful Gothic style book inside a stone museum and a table of Gamelin. It should also host exhibitions as of 2017. The establishment of a medieval garden is also planned this year, in the green area bordering it. Visitors can discover ancient vegetables and medicinal plants used in the Middle Ages. Cabrespine enjoys an exceptional dynamic, by the municipality that restores, develops and enhances the village, its heritage and its history. Water is thus ubiquitous in Cabrespine: ancient wash, watering, fountain recalls the essential role of water that would spread the giant gulf of the village (see the "Enlarge" section), known across borders. The narrow and picturesque streets are clean and flowery. These highlights add to the charm of this typical village of the Black Mountain. Looking at the environment, the municipality plans for 2017 the installation of two electric terminals that will be located on the parking lot of the abyss. Cabrespine has been awarded the "Healthy Land-free" label that rewards and attests to the efforts made to protect the cultures and vegetation of the village.

On the Ile aux Loisirs site, this key Leucate facility, which has just celebrated its 25th anniversary, offers a space dedicated to exploring and discovering the Etang de Salses-Leucate. Dominique and his team welcome school groups, the curious and CEs who come to take part in organized tours and workshops: discovering the ecosystem, fishing, building... You're in Leucate's most eco-friendly spot, and certainly one of the most beautiful on the lake, where this association has succeeded in combining environmental awareness with nautical activities. Numerous educational projects are carried out with schools, including the famous pedal-boat treasure hunt in the lagoon, and a litter hunt to show the negative impact of litter on the lagoon. Kids love it! The highlight of this site, set on a small beach on the edge of the lagoon, is a visit to a barraca, the traditional fishermen's house made of sanils (reeds) and created from scratch by Dominique. For fun and sport, there's nothing like discovering this protected area by canoe, paddle, pedalo, aqua stepper or boat without a license. Unforgettable rides with the Canigou as a backdrop! Last but not least, the icing on the cake is the waterside guinguette: an oasis of serenity in the style of a straw hut, with alcoves and delicious cocktails and tapas to savour as the sun sets. Few places have moved us so!
