A must-see place in the Aude, with picturesque chalets offering an eye-catching spectacle

The Chalets beach is a must-see in the Aude! It was here, in 1985, that Jean-Jacques Beineix shot the film 37°2 le matin, immortalizing Gruissan's astonishing stilt houses. There are over 1,300 in all! These picturesque cottages are a sight to behold for amateur and professional photographers alike. As you stroll along the coast, you'll be able to admire their funny silhouettes bathed in sunlight. Another way to enjoy them: stay in one of them with the Big Blue at your feet!
