Created in 2009, Domaine La Croix Montjoie is located on the slopes of the Vézelien region. The 15-hectare estate is planted mainly with Chardonnay, the pearl of Burgundy wines, and is farmed organically. Numerous awards salute the generosity and excellence of this young domaine's wines. Three flagship productions, L'Impatiente, L'Élégante and La Voluptueuse, plus red Burgundy, Irancy, Ratafia and Crémant de Bourgogne. Les Macarons de Charlou is well known in the Yonne region, especially among the most discerning gourmets, and will be offering you all the sweets straight from our childhood, made on the premises according to a traditional recipe. On the menu, some twenty flavors based on natural aromas: chocolate, violet, gingerbread or aniseed. Not forgetting the inevitable raspberry, coffee, hazelnut, coconut, caramel... all gluten-free and preservative-free! The company is also present atin Vézelay, as well as at numerousmarkets and fairs in Burgundy and elsewhere.

L'Atelier du Mylor is a pastry, confectionery and chocolate factory, in other words the temple of the avallonnais gourmands! Apart from the usual products, there are many creations such as chocolate, tonka and banana tartlets. A treat. But L'Atelier du Mylor is also two historical specialities: the thistle (a dark or milk praline ganache chocolate candy) which has been making people salivate since 1930, and the Mylor born in 1956, a small white or pink candy that we let you discover by yourself! We love the originality and history of this gourmet workshop.

Here, we succumb to the freshness and finesse of the chocolate creations; we love the house specialities such as the "Rochers de Sens" (small caramelized almonds in chocolate), and the "Brennus". A tribute to the famous Gallic people of the Senons who took Rome in 329 B.C., but above all a fantastic hazelnut praline puff pastry. Breads and pastries are at the top too, as are the various pastries. There is no doubt about it, the quality is there, and has been for many years already. Because the Gaufillier Bakery is an institution in Sens.

Brown, white, amber, blonde... The microbrewer Odile Bondier can boast of having a production of beers labeled Nature et Progrès which translates its will to reach the "zero waste", in particular through the intermediary of returnable bottles. Created in 2012 in Joux-la-Ville, the Biscuiterie de Bourgogne (which also has a store in Vézelay, and since a few months in Avallon) has just set up store in the heart of Auxerre, opposite the statue of Cadet-Roussel. Discover the famous home-made financiers, but also meringues, macaroons and other sweets from the Chopard chocolate factory and the Tour des Terroirs brand which offers local products. And if you are fond of these products, you should know that an online store will allow you to order at a distance all year long!

At the end of 2022, Karine and Gilles Hauth opened La Pateasserie in place of Pâtisserie Bertrand, which had stood here, a stone's throw from the Horloge tower, for 33 years. No spelling mistake, just a play on words to point out the existence - on the second floor - of a cosy little tearoom where you can take a break from your city tour. Just long enough to savour one of the excellent home-made pastries, macaroons or chocolates on offer in this delightful establishment. Or even treat yourself to a Sunday morning brunch.

At the end of 2022, Nicolas Brelaud, owner and chef of the hotel-restaurant Le Mitigana, opened this pastry shop located just next door. With 4 key words that, for him, sum up his work: elegance, balance, emotion, efficiency. In addition to the excellent pastries, you will find here the great pastry classics, and some original offers like the Paris-Migennes (a revisit of the famous Paris-Brest) or the Simmern which reinvents the Black Forest. But we also love the coffee tart and the Kir tart (with blackcurrant and white wine).

Recently opened in Vézelay, this wine cellar is an excellent opportunity to stop off on your way up to the basilica, halfway between the start of the main street and its forecourt. Wilfrid and Sophie welcome you in the dining room or on the small terrace to taste wines and local produce, gourmet platters or Burgundy snails. Nicolas Nansot produces quality oils from organically grown seeds. All of them are elaborated by a single cold pressing in order to preserve all the essential constituents. There is very little stock, so that the time between pressing, sale and consumption is as short as possible. It is also an opportunity to taste walnuts, hazelnuts, pumpkin, poppy seed, camelina, hemp, sesame, mustard... Moreover, from January to May, everyone can come (by appointment) to have their seeds weighed and to collect the oil obtained (from 5 kg of shelled walnuts or hazelnuts). We love it!

For many years now, Francis Patrat has been delighting his customers with his sweet treats: very gourmet pastries, fine and tasty chocolates, and artisanal ice creams on the menu of this pretty pastry-chocolate shop located in the Grande Rue of Sens, a few steps from the banks of the Yonne. Christophe Ferrari is unusual in that he was not born into a family of winegrowers. So, since 1987, this passionate winegrower has had to redouble his efforts to offer today (alongside his son Nicolas) several Irancy, Chablis, Saint-Bris, crémants and ratafias. Produced with respect for tradition on 26 ha, the quality of the wines and the know-how are the two strengths of this fine domaine. Proof of this are the numerous awards received. In 2024, four wines received awards from the Guide Hachette des vins, including the Saint Bris La Canne 2022 (2 stars).

This very beautiful estate finds its origins as early as 1620 in Irancy. Today, William Charriat exploits on 13 ha the vines of pinot noir and caesar. In the respect of tradition, with manual harvesting, the precious liquid is matured in oak barrels, two years before bottling. William Charriat's precise work gives these wines a generous taste, the vines benefiting from the clay-limestone soil of the region's hillsides. In the end, the irancy here retains a fruity taste, that of the morello cherry that grows in the region.

Created in the Yonne region, Le Boeuf tricolore has outlets all over France, and particularly in the Yonne. In addition to Auxerre and Joigny, its founder decided to set up in Charny (as well as Sens, Toucy and Avallon). The Pinson family has been established here since the ^16th century. This beautiful 14-hectare estate (HVE label since 2019) produces Chablis AOC, Chablis Grand Cru and Chablis^1er cru. Boasting 9 references expressing fruity or more mineral characteristics, and always with strength and finesse, it has received numerous awards, including two silver medals at the Concours des vins de Chablis 2024 for its Chablis 1er Cru La Forêt 2022 and Mont de Milieu 2022. An excellent address. You'll be welcomed in a small cellar dating back to the house's beginnings. A must-see!

Founded in 1957, this family-run farm has been working organically since 1985. You'll find apples on some 12 hectares and pears on 4. There's no doubt that Le Clos de Rochy knows how to make us rediscover the good taste of natural produce: fruits to munch on, dried vegetables, oils and honeys are all on offer in the farm store or in the various sales outlets in the region. These flavors can also be found in bottles, with tasty apple juices and ciders that are the envy of our friends in Brittany and Normandy!

Everything here is steeped in history. The Goisot family already owned vineyards in the ^15th century. However, it was in 1947 that Serge Goisot launched production. Since then, this passion has been passed down from generation to generation. Anaëlle Goisot and René Grivot now produce (on 27.5 hectares) Chablis, Chablis Premier Cru, Saint Bris, Côte d'Auxerre, and Bourgogne Aligoté. The Domaine has been awarded the Haute Valeur Environnementale label. And its Saint Bris Héritage "Cul Rouge" 2020 was awarded the Gold Medal at the Concours Mondial du Sauvignon 2022.

Since the estate was founded in 1690, generations have succeeded one another, always cultivating unparalleled standards. Today, Domaine Félix farms 32 hectares in the Saint-Bris, Irancy, Auxerre and Chablis appellations. As for its track record, it's more than rich! For example, his Irancy La Grande Côte Est 2020 won a gold medal at the Concours Général Agricole de Paris 2023. As for the Bourgogne Côtes d'Auxerre Rouge 2020, it was a "coup de coeur" and 2 stars in the Guide Hachette 2024. And the same goes for Saint-Bris Cuvée Sainte Claire!

Born in 1986 in the commune of Courgis (between Auxerre and Toucy), the estate gradually expanded to include the communes of Beines and Chablis. Today it offers wines of deep aromatic richness, with two levels of appellation, Chablis and Petit Chablis, and a careful selection of grapes. Not to mention traditional vinification to bring out all their freshness and minerality. Also note the excellent ratafias. Without forgetting the sale at the cellar of artisanal products such as beers or Burgundy honey.

Here, since 1920, 3 generations of beekeepers have been working to make the best Burgundy honeys. Their shop also offers a museum section where you can discover the beekeeper's tools. On the sweet side, several varieties of honey, different gingerbreads (including fig or nut and raisin gingerbread), hand-poached fresh egg meringues. And, of course, honey pastilles, honey vinegar, mead or cacibel (sparkling non-alcoholic), but also cosmetics and food supplements. A pleasure!

Les Vins de La Cadette represents 2 estates (La Cadette, and Montanet Thoden) as well as a winemaking company, La Soeur Cadette. Valentin Montanet took over from his parents, working the vines with the same respect for tradition, and in a 100% organic way. The 21-hectare vineyard is divided into 18 plots in the 4 communes of the appellation: Asquins, Saint-Père, Tharoiseau and Vézelay. Grape varieties include Chardonnay, Gamay, Melon de Bourgogne and Pinot noir. We particularly recommend Juliénas, with its fleshy, spicy fruit.

Farmers from father to son for four generations, the Calmus family didn't start making wine until 1998. A young estate (which today boasts 4.5 hectares of vines stretching across the hillsides of Joigny), but one that is already playing in the big league. With a number of prestigious awards under its belt. These include the 2013 Brennus d'Argent for their Bourgogne Chardonnay 2010. White, red, rosé and gray wines, as well as crémant, can be found at the Joigny market on the first Saturday of every month.

A stone's throw from several wine estates, this bakery is unfortunately one of the few shops still open in the centre of the town. David Paris has taken over the business run since the late 1950s by Michel Depardieu. A local celebrity, as it was he who imagined the famous Saint-Bris croquets that can now be found in many delicatessens in the region. Run out and taste them; but we warn you: once tested, you really can't do without them!

Spreading over 9 generations since 1780, the Domaine de la Meulière covers 25 hectares, for an annual production of about 180 000 bottles. The Laroche family perpetuates the traditions, and all the stages of production are carried out on the estate. Petit Chablis, Chablis and Chablis^1er Cru have received numerous awards. Moreover, the domain is certified in HVE level 3 and adheres to the confederation of Independent Winegrowers. Between Auxerre and Avallon, at the aquaculture farm you can go for a walk or fish for trout (equipment provided), or even refresh yourself in the shade of the two hundred year old plane tree. Maison Marc, named after the grandfather, is the last remaining artisanal pickle producer in France! First of all, there's plenty to be amazed about. Here, gherkins are grown without pesticides or herbicides, harvested by hand from the 16 hectares planted, and packaged in Chemilly. A truly local product! And a crunchy family story. If you're a beer lover, then it's impossible to pass through Vézelay without taking a break, down in the village, at this independent microbrewery installed in 2019. Here, all the beers are brewed and bottled by hand in small quantities. Thus, each vintage is unique and composed of ingredients from organic farming. Among those proposed, we like the "Cuvée Blonde bio" with ginger, as well as the brunette with spices. Two very nice discoveries, among a generous and tempting offer!
