Set high on the hillsides, the estate combines a historic building with a beautiful wooded workshop-boutique. It's here that the gourmet products of this beekeeping enterprise are imagined, concocted, jarred and labeled. In the boutique: honeys, honey sweets, honey candies and cosmetics from this family-run business, which places quality, taste and traceability at the heart of its requirements. A boutique in Bordeaux, another in Lille, it works! Their star products include honey and poppy candies and lemon honey sweets.

Currants and tomatoes, zucchini and potatoes, rich in flavors and vitamins, for your basket! Bertrand Meffe uses agroforestry and permaculture to produce organic fruit and vegetables in an environmentally-friendly way. His orchard is made up of old varieties from the Montesquieu conservatory. Most of the produce is transformed into soups, ratatouille, compotes, spreads, jams... Available in organic stores such as Lulubio in Casteljaloux.

Another one of those multiservice addresses so appreciated by the locals! Guérin is fortunate to have a charming little Swiss Army knife-style grocery store with a food section, catering service, bar, scratch card games, parcel relay service... Fresh fruit and vegetables, local produce, Mathilde's poultry, honey from Domaine de Malescot, charcuterie, dairy products and, depending on the season, galettes des Rois and other treats. In addition, festive evenings are regularly organized with music groups, themes and flavors...

One of the tastiest nuggets on the Grande Rue. Most of the cheeses in this cosy little store are matured by the excellent Xavier de Toulouse cheese house. In winter, the collection of raclette cheeses is mouth-watering. Don't be put off by the quince pâte à la coupe, so good with a sheep's milk cheese. Also on the shelves, a selection of craft beers and wines, jams and creamery. At the helm, Mélanie offers advice and is preparing to move a little further down the street for a wine and cheese cellar project. To be continued...

The Epicerie-bar du Clavier has been run by Eric Wacogne since 2018. Assisted by an employee, the owner works hard to bring life to this local multi-service store, which is much appreciated by the local population. Located in the hamlet of Le Clavier, the shop opens its doors at 6:30 a.m., offering tobacco, PMU, groceries, bread and gas, as well as stationery, a press section, scratch cards, etc. As its category suggests, this is an establishment that provides multiple services to local residents.

You can buy meat produced by Claire Saint-Marc, breeder of genuine Gascon pigs, direct from the farm. The pigs are raised in the open air, and the products are available as fresh meat, cured meats and preserves. Choose from sausages and roasts, coppa, pâté de campagne, boudin, saindoux, filet mignon, rouelle, ventrèche... The meat is processed according to the breeder's family recipes.

The region's inhabitants are (good) meat lovers. As proof, there are no less than three excellent butcher's shops in Casteljaloux. Christophe Lecomte's, assisted by his wife Adeline in the store and kitchen, the ex-boucherie du Roy, is located in the Grand Rue. Like its colleagues, this traditional butcher's shop offers local meats - beef, veal, lamb, poultry, cooked pork meats, ready-made meals and a catering service. There's also a small delicatessen section and a rotisserie.

The David family has been producing honey for several generations. The small Porte des Landes apiary is located around Poussignac and does not practice transhumance. It is at the edge of the forest and in the surrounding wasteland that the bees search for the nectar that will give the honey its aroma. This traditional, ancestral and natural beekeeping method produces a range of delicate, fruity honeys. Today, Marie-Claude David is the beekeeper.

Ferme de Marauli offers direct sales of free-range poultry from the South-West of France, raised in a natural environment according to regional farming traditions. The farm's poultry is fed on quality cereals and treated with essential oils. The chicks arrive at the farm from the age of one day, and have access to grassy runs from 6 weeks of age. Chickens, turkeys, whole guinea fowl, cut up or in confit, galantine, but also products from neighboring farmers, dried duck fillets, foies gras, terrines...

From stable to table! On the outskirts of Casteljaloux, on the Route du Lac, you'll have no trouble spotting this renowned butcher's shop thanks to the life-size red resin bull enthroned on the sidewalk in front of the sign. Here, Laurent Groussin, an excellent farmer-butcher, and his team officiate. Here's a good place in town to find the owner's home-grown Bazadais beef and a host of other fine meats, poultry and cooked dishes. Every year in early February, the house proudly takes part in the Fête des Boeufs Gras de Bazas.

A new grocery store in the center of Villefranche-du-Queyran will open its doors in December 2023. Run by Angélique and her mother Patricia, this is a multi-service store. On the shelves you'll find home furnishings and convenience products, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, tobacco, bread, pastries at weekends, pet food, cleaning products and even some natural stone jewelry from a local designer.

Beekeeper Philippe Labay and his bees produce a fine range of honeys. His beekeeping operation was set up in a special wildlife conservation area on the edge of the Landes forest. Most of the honey is produced on fallow land, woods and natural clearings, biotopes that offer generous botanical diversity and a wealth of pollen and nectar for the bees. You'll find pure honeys on site, with no added honeys from elsewhere...

Just outside Tonneins on the road to Marmande, Jérôme Fronteau's boulangerie pâtisserie is well known in the region for more than one reason. For its breads and delicious cakes. For its gourmet Christmas logs, its galettes des rois with their ever original beans, and its Easter chocolates. And for its viennoiseries, which earned one of our apprentices second place in a viennoiserie championship. And because Maison Fronteau is one of the shops to have been awarded the "Marque Artisans Gourmands" quality label. Second address route de Varès.

A mixed farming operation with two very different focuses. The farm raises free-range, antibiotic-free fattened ducks for foie gras and confits, and beautifully shorn sheep for mohair wool. Sales are direct from the farm, by order and by appointment, of whole, live ducks, or cut up fresh, vacuum-packed or canned. You can also find the farm's products at the Lamigeon canning factory in Bazas.

Butchery certainly, but also pork-butchery and excellent to taste thanks to the beautiful work of Loïc, chief pork-butcher and of Evelyne Pineau who holds this Côté Cochon stamped Pineau. Here, we work with beautiful material since they are simply black pigs of Bigorre and also pigs of the house Louvel, famous house of breeding located at Gontaud de Nogaret and that we do not present any more. Everything is homemade and it makes you want to eat! Coppa, rillettes, white ham, chorizo, pata negra... or even medal-winning black pudding form a magnificent showcase.

At the helm of this friendly farm is the Bidan family, well known for their asparagus production. During the spring production season, generally from mid-April to early June, you can order your asparagus and pick it up at the farm on certain days. But the Bidans don't just grow asparagus, they also produce organic table grapes of the Exalta (sweet white seedless) and Muscat de Hambourg varieties. So the harvests come thick and fast in September, and so do the sales.

Direct sales of fruit from the orchard, apples and pears of various varieties. You can buy fruit by the case (with deposit) or in 3 kg bags and bottles of apple juice. The fruit harvest begins in the last week of August and lasts until April, depending on production. The first varieties harvested are "Williams" pears and "Gala" apples, and later, in autumn, Chanteclerc, Golden, Fuji... and for pears, Conference and Comice. A true conservatory orchard!

One of the region's leading honey producers. Jean-Pierre Troia, a beekeeper, sells his range of honeys direct, in a number of local producers' stores and at markets. He raises his bees and sets up his apiaries along and around the Avance river. He makes his honey just with the nectar of the flowers his workers gather, for which he is truly passionate. His collection includes acacia, borage, heather, chestnut, all-flower and forest honeys, as well as a creamy breakfast honey.

The friendly and competent team at Les Cadets welcome you and advise you at this butcher's shop in Casteljaloux, where local meats are honored and trusted by a loyal clientele. Entire families come here to buy quality products with their eyes closed. The atmosphere is good-natured and the humor welcome, as it should be in these local shops that continue to enliven small-town centers. So you can stock up on Bazas beef, excellent charcuterie and ready-made meals... as early as 6.30 a.m.!

Since 2015, the "Artisans Gourmands" mark has been awarded to food and beverage artisans who meet specific manufacturing criteria, such as homemade, preferential use of local ingredients, innovation... For the craftsman, this distinction represents recognition of his know-how and a quality criterion to guide consumers towards the excellence of Lot-et-Garonne products. Yves Thuriès has its own plantations of cocoa beans in Ecuador and hazelnuts in Baleyssagues. The flavored ganaches sold in the store in downtown Agen offer an exquisite texture and taste. Marshmallow in the summer, Morello cherries with kirsch and marrons glacés in the winter, all "home-made", give rhythm to the seasons of our delicacy. Passers-by frequently stop in front of the windows where beautiful chocolate pieces illustrating the holidays of the year (Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter, etc.) are displayed. Bravo the artist!

Almost everyone in the area is familiar with the vast expanse of the Perinnots greenhouses on the outskirts of town. The farm grows strawberries, raspberries, tomatoes and cucumbers. As soon as they're picked, they're on the shelves of the specially set-up direct sales outlet. Here, you know you're buying good local produce at reasonable prices from a local farming family. Enjoy Gariguettes, Mariguettes, Cléry and other varieties of strawberries.

You're in the middle of the countryside, on the heights of the hills, and it's magnificent! This farm produces and sells raw-milk goat's cheese direct from the farm. You can come and buy at the farm on Friday mornings, or visit the markets in Grignols (Wednesday mornings) and Sainte-Bazeille (Sunday mornings) to stock up. You can visit the farm all year round by appointment. As the seasons go by, you'll see the goats and kids, the donkey, the draught horse, the pig and the dogs.

Come and visit SARL Daguerre's farm direct sales store in the commune of Sainte-Marthe, where fields and greenhouses are lined up for market gardening. As the seasons go by, the harvests produce fruits and vegetables to fill your baskets with fresh produce and vitamins. Salads, apples, grapes, vegetables to concoct a ratatouille, melon or pumpkin, depending on the season. All ethically sourced, locavore and at very reasonable prices.

Cantelause? Cantelause means "sing the bird" in Gascon. At the gateway to the Landes, this family-run farm is located in a clearing in the middle of a wood planted with hardwood trees to protect the farm's homes and buildings from fire. Ducks are raised here, hand-fed on corn grain. Duck dishes and other ready-made meals are 100% homemade, including foie gras and jams. The farm's Solognot lamb is used to enhance Cantelause's famous couscous.

A valuable address for local residents. The village grocery store, run by Jocelyne and Claude Gascoin since 2005, is both a tobacconist's and a grocer's store, offering basic necessities, fruit and vegetables, dairy products and meats, as well as local produce, particularly Buzet wines and, in season, local asparagus. The store also houses a press section and offers stationery items. A café area welcomes both regulars and passing customers. And also: gas and bread depots!

Julien Lavergne is a real daddy hen, with his pullets and two young daughters who help him harvest the eggs in the henhouse. His hens are raised in the open air in a vast wooded field in Poussignac. During the festive season, he offers geese, turkeys, roasts, capons and guinea fowl with stuffing (foie gras, fig or chestnut stuffing). You'll find his stand with whole or cooked poultry, and poultry roasted on the spot in a rotisserie.

Launched in 2019 in Saint-Nicolas-de-la-Balerme, the excellent catering business of Chef Jérémy Da Costa and Pastry Chef Damien Girault has found a logical extension with the opening of a store in Agen. The main principle remains the delicate attention brought to the customers. No ready-made menu will be proposed to you. You will be accompanied at each step of the elaboration of the menu which will please you according to your expectations, your tastes, your budget. The proposals are adapted to the palate of each one in some way. The place can be privatized.
