Château La Lagune is a winery located in Ludon-Médoc. It produces a 3rd Bordeaux Grand Cru Classé, as well as a second wine called 'Moulin de La Lagune' and a third cuvée called 'Mademoiselle L'. The 80-hectare vineyard is planted on one of the best gravelly hilltops in the region. The estate applies environmentally-friendly viticulture based on organic and biodynamic farming practices. The move to organic conversion was initiated in 2013, with certification scheduled for the 2016 harvest. Contiguous with Château d'Yquem, the Château Rieussec vineyard extends at the junction of Fargues and Sauternes. With its 93 ha of sandy-clayey gravelly soil, it is one of the most important properties of Sauternes and Barsac. Semillon, the emblematic grape variety of Sauternes, dominates (90%), complemented by Sauvignon (7%) and Muscadelle (3%). Fermentation is carried out in barrels and each vintage is aged in oak barrels, mainly from the Tonnellerie des Domaines, half of which are renewed each year. The duration of ageing in barrels varies according to the vintage from 16 to 26 months during which the wines are periodically racked. Bottling is carried out at the Château. During the 1855 Classification, the quality of the Rieussec terroir was recognized as a Premier Cru Classé de Sauternes et Barsac. A wine tasting is offered after a visit to the property. Visits are by appointment only. From the monks of the Carmelites of Langon to a succession of numerous owners, Château Rieussec was acquired by the Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) in 1984.

The origins of the château date back to the Middle Ages, when it was little more than a keep in the middle of a vast oak forest, where Edward of Woodstock, son of King Edward III of England and nicknamed "The Black Prince", enjoyed hunting. Château Vieux Robin is a lovely family estate located in the heart of the legendary Médoc, in Bégadan. With its 20 hectares of vines, it offers a variety of activities throughout the year. Château Coutet, located in the town of Barsac, is a wine estate steeped in history. Originally a fortress in the 13th century, the château still retains traces of its medieval construction, notably with its crenellated square tower. Over the centuries, the estate has evolved to become one of the first vineyards in the Sauternes appellation. In 1787, Thomas Jefferson, third President of the United States, even described Château Coutet as "the best Sauternes in Barsac". In the 19th century, the estate passed into the hands of the Lur-Saluces family, who also owned the famous Châteaux d'Yquem and de Fargues. In 1855, at the time of the classification ordered by Napoleon III, Château Coutet was officially recognized as one of the Premiers Grands Crus of Sauternes and Barsac. Since 1977, the Baly family has owned the estate and undertaken a renewal of the vineyard and farm buildings. In 2010, Château Coutet launched its first vintage of Opalie, a great dry white wine. In 2017, Château Coutet 2014 was ranked third in the Top 100 wines worldwide published by Wine Spectator magazine.

Lescaneaut is first and foremost the name of this ^18th-century family home overlooking the Dordogne. It's also, and above all, the vineyard, the land and the name of the wines born there. The sixth generation of winemakers to take over the 6.5-hectare estate, Malika and Pascal converted to organic farming in 2008. Their vintages were certified organic (Ecocert) in 2012. Since 2017, Lescaneaut has received "High Environmental Value" certification. The wines of Lescaneaut are wines for laying down, gourmet, typical of the terroir.

Legend has it that the young Louis XIV, out for a walk in Bourg, wanted to pick a fig. A monk carried him to help him, but touching the king was an act of lèse-majesté. Fortunately, he was pardoned and many more fig trees were planted... In his pretty patisserie-confiserie, Frédéric Blanleil makes entremets and chocolates, but above all the famous Figue de Bourg, a delicious blend of marzipan, white chocolate, fig and fig alcohol. A real delight!

Mélanie Badets, an agricultural engineer with a fine nose and palate, has taken over Cafés Tchanqué - named after the famous tchanqué huts - and given them the name Tchanqué Gourmet. She, too, knows a thing or two about coffee and roasting. Her coffees come from the mountains of India, Africa and Latin America. She selects them with care, giving preference to small producers who are passionate about their craft. The Cafés Tchanqués, Cabane 53 -in reference to the Arcachon Basin- and Empreinte (organic coffees) collections are available in 200 gram to 1 kg bags and capsules.

Louis L'Amour, or good bread... This passionate artisan baker trained at some of Paris's top bakeries, and every day prepares a dozen or so breads from selected flours, ranging from the most classic (tradition, country...) to the most original (sourdough bread with toppings, zebra bread...). A fine range of viennoiseries completes the offer, including excellent gourmet creations such as croissants with pistachio or black sesame filling, or kouign-amann cacao. A second address, Bouloulam, has opened not far from the Chaban-Delmas stadium.

Two young brewers have launched this craft brewery, the only one in the heart of the Bordeaux vineyards. They have seven kinds of very creative beers, marketed under the BBF brand: Lager, American Ale, English IPA, Session IPA, Blanche verveine, Ambrée and Blonde Belgian each with its own character and personality. Nelson Alvès makes pastéis de nata, these small melting flans with very thin puff pastry and creamy filling, specialties of Lisbon. He learned how to make them the traditional way from a Lisbon pastry chef and now makes them in front of us in his store. All the ingredients and even the oven come from Portugal, his family land. Here, three tables are installed along the wall to taste the cakes accompanied by a drink and, on the shelves at the back of the store, some Portuguese products...

The Domaine Pascaud is above all a place of reception. The old wine storehouse has been converted into reception rooms under an incredible frame of whole trees. In Eysines, Le Comptoir du rhum is THE rum specialist, with over 1,300 references of rums from the West Indies and around the world! In this cavern full of treasures, you'll find a 100% rum cellar with punches, rhums arrangés, white rums, aged rums, and collector's bottles with over a hundred exceptional rums. At the end of June, the Salon du Rhum is an opportunity for Sandy to put on a variety of events, including arm-wrestling and domino contests. In December, he organizes a "Chantez Noël" evening featuring Christmas carols, food and drink.

Garg'Antoine is the first point of sale of Antoine Augeard, an agricultural engineer, who "fell into the pastis" of his father in 1986... He knows the aperitif and has made it his job. He has a whole range of gourmet pleasures, traditional and French, which vary according to his finds: cold meats, Basque pudding, old-fashioned white ham, pâtés en croûte, foies gras, figs stuffed with foie gras, Scottish salmon, smoked or in gravlax, cheeses, preserves, wines, beers, not forgetting the aperitif boards, aperitif trays and pintxos.

David Capy, Compagnon du devoir du Tour de France is also Meilleur ouvrier de France. After several years spent at Valrhona, he created his own shop and thus fulfilled his dream. His sweets are themed: fruity, chocolate and praline and timeless. One of our favourites is the Yuz', a creamy yuzu heart accompanied by a strawberry coulis and a creamy mousse lightly flavoured with yuzu. The whole is topped with a strawberry coulis flavoured with poppy flower and rests on an almond biscuit with its crispness... a marvel.

At the confluence of the Isle and Dordogne rivers, Fronsac is a quality wine-growing area. The vineyard is said to be the first historic vineyard in the Bordeaux region. Cardinal de Richelieu set his sights on it in 1632. Barely a century later, his great-nephew and godson of Louis XIV lived at the château. Imprisoned in the Bastille for his libertine gallantries, he introduced Fronsac wine to the court of Versailles. Its medicinal properties earned it the name "Richelieu's herbal tea". The story will be told during a visit to the château.

With its red lines and parasols, it's not hard to spot cabane n° 15 on the port of La Teste-de-Buch. And at Chez Jejhene, there's always something to read about the art of living, love or friendship before you step through the door. Owned by the Gutmann family since 2016, Château Jouvente is located in the heart of the Graves appellation. Not only does it produce excellent wine, but it's also home to a passion for art... After a stay in the vineyards, illustrator Caroline Desnoette created the label for the 2016 cuvée.
