For a week, Montignac vibrates to the rhythm of music and folklore from around the world. Shows and concerts are on the program, as are craft markets and exhibitions, notably in the Salle Jean Macé, which becomes a veritable treasure trove throughout the summer. Since 1981, groups and troupes from all over the world have been sharing their heritage at Montignac, along with some of the biggest names in contemporary music. In 2024, reggae star Yaniss Odua opens the festival.

A member of the very active Ciné Passion en Périgord network since 1986, Le Vox cinema is a Montignac institution. Eric, Franck and Marie Hélène keep this eclectic, cutting-edge cinema alive all year round. They leave no audience out with their selection, which includes films in VO, blockbusters and children's films, as well as mini-festivals, notably dedicated to short films, theme evenings and meetings. More than just a cinema, it's a place for cultural mediation and discovery.

The must-see Lébérou in Périgord Noir! This funny creature, not unlike the werewolf, won't bite you throughout this nomadic festival held in November. Plazac, Coly, Tamniès, Aubas, Auriac, Marquay and several other emblematic villages host a show throughout this month of tales, readings, music and stage productions. Some events are particularly suitable for young audiences, so don't hesitate to ask beforehand and take advantage of the passes available.

In July and August, take part in "Urban Quest", a treasure hunt in the town of Sarlat, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 6pm, by reservation.

Escapia is an escape game present in 3 different regions and one of its establishments is located in Bergerac. Here, they offer classic rooms or what they call "escapiades", outdoor games to discover the surrounding towns. The classic rooms remain in the theme of the region, notably "In vino veritas". We like the originality of this room which changes the more frequent themes of science fiction or treasure hunts. Will you be able to find the antidote to the poison that the winemaker made you drink?

The "Univerland" activity and leisure center in Le Bugue is home to a 1,000 m² maze unlike any other. Through 7 different environments, become explorers and solve 25 riddles with your family, to discover prehistory from a different, fun perspective. The games, designed to appeal primarily to young visitors, also allow older children to discover Cro-Magnon man, his way of life and the animals of the time. 13 other activities, spread across the Univerland sites at Les Eyzies, Journiac and Le Bugue, await you!

A poet, Sophie Haffner has self-published two books of poems, which she is happy to read at various poetry events in the Périgord region, as well as at public readings in various establishments. After years working in the publishing industry, she moved to Rouffignac, where she writes, edits and is a very active advocate for artists' rights in the region. A lover of human contact, she offers to sign her books at informal gatherings and markets.
