Hippodrome de Marsalès, near Monpazier, is a popular meeting place for horse racing enthusiasts. Managed by some thirty enthusiastic volunteers, it hosts three trotting meetings a year, on the first Sundays of May, June and July. Its 830 m grass track is renowned for its high quality. EQUURES certified, the racecourse is actively committed to animal welfare and respect for the environment. Supported by elected representatives, the presidents of neighboring racecourses, partners and sponsors, the racecourse enjoys a strong local presence and a real following among the public.
