VILLAGE NATIONAL DU CIRQUE
Pôle Nationale du Cirque de Boulazac is one of the five stages to have a national label in Aquitaine and one of the twelve circus centres in France. A new facility has been built on the Lamoura plain: a solid marquee in the shape of a wood-panelled cube. The Lamoura plain was first developed in 2002 with a space dedicated to marquees. In 2009, new structures were added to this space (common, restaurant room for artists). Finally, in 2017 new spaces were built to form the Circus Village: a catering space for the public, which only opens on the evenings of performances; 5 housing units to accommodate appearing and in-residence artists; Le Cube Cirque, a new performance hall for appearing and in-residence artists, and adjacent to this hall, an open stage overlooking an esplanade for concerts or open-air events. The circus school offers all kinds of amateur apparatus. It is managed by Cirquième Sens.
