Yannick and Valérie Panagiotis are rally enthusiasts (Dakar in particular), as well as connoisseurs of fine wines. They took over La Citadelle, a 40-hectare estate certified HVE and BIO since 2016, which promotes respect for the land with eco-responsible methods such as horse-drawn ploughing and eco-pasturing. The wines are powerful and fine, and among the cuvées, those of Gouverneur Saint-Auban and Les Artèmes are aged for 1 year in French oak barrels. CAVE DU LUBERON

Winery

Created in 1923 by a handful of wine growers, the Cave du Luberon is still maintained by passionate enthusiasts. The vineyard extends on the sunny slopes of the municipalities around Maubec. The philosophy here is to maintain traditional vinification from typical grape varieties in the region: Grenache, syrah, carignan, mourvèdre, cinsault. The winery produces two names "PDO Luberon" and "PDO Ventoux", wines from Vaucluse countries and table wine in red, rosé and white.

CHÂTEAU TURCAN

Winery

It's an estate handed down from generation to generation, in a privileged location. It includes the winery, the Musée des Arts et des Métiers du Vin (Museum of the Arts and Crafts of Wine). This is an opportunity to discover monumental antique wine presses and old wine-making equipment, a reception room and a gîte in a 1750 dwelling. Overlooked by the Mourre Nègre, the 18-hectare vineyard is grouped in a single block around the winery. The result is traditional red wines with a strong personality, concentrated and well-balanced. Favorite: "L'Agitateur", named after a museum piece.

DOMAINE DES MARCHANDS

Winery

For over 20 years, the Pichot family has linked its history to that of Domaine des Marchands. As independent winegrowers, they offer a variety of wines, from the most uncomplicated to the most gourmet. The cultivation method adopted is in line with the global approach of sustainable agriculture, with a measured and justified use of inputs, while seeking to reconcile production and preservation of the environment. The Cuvée des Enfants - AOP Luberon - offers delicious, aromatic wines in the great tradition of southern wines. Les Terrasses, on the other hand, embody gourmet, elegant wines, combining complexity and balance thanks to meticulous plot selection and controlled yields. As for the IGPs, they are made with an emphasis on lightness and fruit. Several of these nectars won awards in 2023. The winegrowing family awaits you at the boutique for visits and tastings.

CHÂTEAU DE MILLE

This former residence of the bishops of Apt, the rock-built Château de Mille, is well worth a visit, both for the magnificent site and for the estate's wines. The 32 hectares of vines are cultivated between 350 and 400 meters above sea level. This is a terroir on the northern foothills of the Luberon, complex with limestone and very stony soils. Yields are low. Vinification is carried out the old-fashioned way, in century-old oak tuns, where the red wines can develop their aromas for at least two years.

CHÂTEAU DES EYDINS

Winery

Château les Eydins is an 18-hectare wine estate, run by Serge Seignon since 1999. Winegrower for 4 generations, he has taken up the torch. Passionate about nature, he decided to apply for organic certification of his vineyard in 2000. In the cellar, rough concrete vats allow the red wines to be vinified in the traditional way, favouring their maturation by regulating temperatures and extracting aromas. Some vintages are then matured in barrels of 2 to 5 wines in the cellar to round out the tannins.
